Romantic: spent the weekend in the Roosevelt room which has a claw foot bath tube and a large shower with double shower heads. It also has 3 beds! And no TV which is great for reconnecting with that special person in your life. Clean: extremely clean and no weird chemical smells. Food: we have several food allergies and they were able to modify our breakfast to be gluten free and dairy free Location: you are surrounded by nature! We were the only guests and had the entire grounds to ourselves. The veranda out back was so peaceful. It is a great central location if you want to explore all the caves in the area. The only thing that might be a con for some is the sulphur in the water. The smell is barely noticeable in the shower but the bathtub is more concentrated. I, however, enjoy sulphur water for the detox effects on the skin.
Came to New Market for a wedding and stayed at the Rosendale Inn Bed and Breakfast. Loved the peace and quiet and scenery. Stayed in the Roosevelt Suite with its private porch.|Paul was very accommodating to make us feel comfortable. He cooks amazing breakfast and is very interesting to talk to. If you just want a nice peaceful getaway,|I recommend this place. Thanks again Paul and Juanita.
A wonderful, warm, special place to say. The rooms are unique and beautiful- breakfast is great. Views from the porch are beautiful. You’re secluded enough to wake up to birds chirping, but a short drive from town, hikes, shopping, and anything else you’d like. The owner/inn keeper clearly puts his heart into the place, and it shows. I’ll be back!
My mom and I recently visited and stayed at Rosendale. We had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing experience. The BNB is a home full of history on a beautiful property. We were welcomed by Paul and his wife who were excellent hosts. The home itself also feels very welcoming, with great energy. Our room was comfortable , we both slept very well! The breakfast was delicious! We really enjoyed our stay.
Visiting New Market, we found this grand old lady, near town and the Endless Caverns campground where our friends were staying. Nestled in the piedmont of Virginia this beautiful home has views of the mountains, countryside and pond. Rich in history and has been lovingly cared for, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Our hosts, Paul and his wife, were very friendly and kind. They prepared a delicious breakfast for us before we set off to soak up the rich history of New Market.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn for the weekend to attend our cousins wedding. I love history and this Inn has a lot of it. We stayed in the Woodrow Wilson room. The breakfast was homemade and so good! The Inn was clean and host welcoming. The property was wonderful to walk around in the fresh fall air. The views were amazing of the mountain side and fall leaves on the trees. It was a perfect time for my husband and I to spend time together talking and reading, as there was no TV. If you want charming and relaxing, this is the place. If you want 5 star luxury, try somewhere else. For our stay, it was perfect. Thank you for your great service. We would definitely stay here again. Also, visit the Endless Caverns, it won’t disappoint either.
I've had the pleasure of staying at this BnB three times over the past ten years, and each visit has been consistently enjoyable. The owner, Paul, is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place for its excellent service and warm atmosphere.
Excellent location, surrounded by fresh fields and mountains with easy access to Shenandoah park and Harrisonburg. Rooms were very clean and had great character maintaining it's historic feel. Paul was a great host, who has great stories to share as well as good knowledge of the surrounding area to give advice and recommendations on what to see and do. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to keep you going for a good number of hours. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Amazing coffee, great bakery items, and delicious food. My last visit, I had the pesto provolone grilled cheese wth a caramel latte. Both were outstanding. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting. Best coffee in town, for sure!
We stayed at the RV campground for 2 nights and had a great time. The campground is very quiet, clean, and nicely wooded. Sites are spacious. Cool playground for the little ones. Tracy was very friendly and helpful. We also visited the caverns and re
We were lucky and got invited in for lunch by a member named Leslie and had a great time trying to hold our own with his friends trying to figure out where my ancestors place was on the Egypt bend of the Shenandoah river. One gentleman knew and was r
Lots of great artifacts and information. The walk was gorgeous, well maintained, and most importantly manageable for my father. The buildings at the farm are amazing and well kept. Definitely worth the 25 bucks and 3 hours we meandered around for. Cl
We get pizza from here quite often and the quality is superb! No one will ever believe that you can get this good of pizza from a gas station, but its a gem! The woman that makes it every Friday evening is always pleasant to us and efficient. Even re
