The food was amazing! Peg puts so much time into making sure she sources tons of local products for breakfast: the eggs, bacon, baked goods and even the coffee! (I am very food oriented right now because I am pregnant) The rooms are super comfortable and the bathrooms are beautiful and well appointed. If you want a true NY country experience that is cozy, this is your spot. You can just feel the love and happiness this house has held over the years. |
What an amazing place to stay. This is such a welcoming home. Peg is so inviting and helpful and all the food is so look great! Local pastries to die for local eggs and bacon! The towels were so soft and the bed was so comfortable. Loved the wildlife sightings! Great place to stay and so close to Saratoga etc. Don't miss this lovely B & B
The rooms are spacious, each has its own large, new bathroom, there is plenty of storage and closets. The beds are very comfortable and I love all the pillows!! There are many places to sit and soak in the peaceful surroundings, whether its on the large covered front porch, the lower back sunroom or the sunny upper deck- you will find a place that is perfect to unwind. The lower level offers a space with some fun toys and the yard is great as well- with a small pond and large field for nature walks and exploring. The breakfast is amazing too- Belgian waffles with fresh fruit- so yummy!! We always enjoy our stay, and will be back again soon. The owner is gracious, sweet and very kind- the whole experience is worth the trip! Saratoga Springs is only 20 min. away, offering many restaurants, the race track and local music venues, among countless shopping options of course.
Everything was excellent for our overnight stay! Peg was very helpful and makes a delicious breakfast! Beautiful place with everything you need. If we need to stay in the area again, we will definitely come here.

We loved our comfortable, well-appointed rooms in this beautiful home, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was so conscious of making us (two families with seven children in all) comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and it was so nice to get to taste so many local delicacies. We have family in the Galway area and will be sure to stay at Rosa Rugosa again when we visit. Its like Martha Stewart set up this B&B. Peg has every detail covered and done with style and charm. Her breakfast is 5 star so DO NOT SKIP IT. The house is set on a sprawling countryside retreat with ponds and nature all around you. Watch bullfrogs and mallards from the front porch, catch sight of grey foxes from one of the 3 back decks! Yes 3 and one of them is 3 season enclosed. Also very family friendly, I was there with my 1 year old and Peg had everything covered, high chair, toys, bath toys, crib. We didn't have to bring anything. I was really impressed and cannot wait to stay there again. Thank you Peg!
