Absolutely fantastic! The menu is eclectic, but there's something for everyone. Take recommendations from your server, ours was Miracle and she really did a terrific job guiding us through the meal. The food is world -class and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, the sweet potato, shrimp and grits and the meatloaf Wellington. Desserts limited, only two choices, but the peach cobbler with homemade ice cream was incredible. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to, and that includes Cafe Bouloud and Lee Cirque in NYC.

A jewel in the crown of Laurens, SC and the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. They treat you like they’ve been your friend for years. Jess was so funny and had THE BEST jokes, and Caleb’s preparation of the food was world class, and you MUST follow his food recommendations. He suggested the Alfredo, and let me tell you what—that was one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. You can’t go wrong with the homemade pasta! And don’t get me started on the pumpkin spice bread pudding. 🤤 Can’t wait to come back because I’m going to be thinking about that pasta for a long time now.

I actually had different breakfast plans when I was visiting Laurens, but so Rootimentary and decided I wanted to give it a try. So glad I did! The food was excellent, the service was outstanding and I will definitely be back. Chef Caleb and his team have created a real gem in Laurens, South Carolina!

I finally had the opportunity to return to my hometown of Laurens to eat at Rootimentary on the historic town square. Every thing was fantastic from the minute my daughter and I walked in the beautiful restaurant. We were promptly greeted, seated in a cozy booth and received excellent service from our server Jamie. Our menu choices were the Bourbon Cider Glazed Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer and then we shared a side salad, Seared Scallops and Shrimp & Grits. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back. We had the chance to speak with the owner Caleb Satterfield and loved hearing most all menu items are locally sourced. Loved hearing his story and vision for the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and make a special trip to Laurens, SC to enjoy Rootimentary!

First time, but will not be my last. From the moment we arrived, our table of six was quickly greeted by Jamie who was a very attentive server throughout our meal. The food was excellent. Our entire table had something different and everyone was pleased to the point that we shared tastes of each others entrees. I travel frequently and have eaten at plenty of nice restaurants. I would place Rootimentary at the top of my favorites list. I’m very excited to find this type restaurant in Laurens.

What a gem in Laurens. One of the best meals I've had to date and hope to make this a regular visit. My wife recently went with friends and raved so much I had to try. Miracle provided friendly, personable service from reservation to table service. I loved learning about the background of the Owners, the short history of the restaurant, and Miracles personal story and enthusiasm for it all. This would be worth the drive from the Upstate! Brussel sprouts were the best ever and could be a main course or dessert. Salty, savory, sweet all in one bite! Short rib and duck were both perfect. Desserts were equally as good, and pricing fair for what we had. Run don't walk! This will be in my top 3 restaurants in the upstate. Thank you!

I’m a regular at Rootimentary. They always make sure to provide an excellent experience, tailored perfectly to my needs. The food is delicious, the service is professional and friendly, and the ambience is amazing (I particularly enjoy the lighting; I like to see when I’m eating dinner). If you’re looking for a dim dive bar, look for another experience. If you’re looking for an elevated evening worth celebrating? Check this place out. Cheers.

We are so glad to have Rootimentary in Laurens County. Our county was in need of a restaurant for special occasions and celebrations. And even better, it is owned by Laurens locals. Specialty cocktails and a menu based on available fresh ingredients. Amazing atmosphere and devine desserts. Small and quaint-perfect date night!
