This restaurant was recommended by a neighbor and it didn't disappoint. They have a variety of seating options. You can sit in the main entrance, the bar, formal dining room or out on the patio. The mixed drinks were perfect. We ordered the naked Airline Chicken and the Bianca Wood fired pizza. Everything was delicious. We didn't leave room for dessert but had to get a piece of the blueberry cheesecake to go. Great restaurant we will for sure be back.
Elegant upscale bistro, chef has assembled a wonderful small, but delicious menu. Airline chicken had a perfect sear, moist inside and tremendous flavor. Terra pizza was delicious, the crust, although not a true neopolatin crust was nothing short of sensational. Staff was professional and added pleasant conversation at the bar. Will work my way through the entire menu. **add on rating, the world king of pizza is the marg, and this pizza was spot on perfect. Dough, sauce, mozzarella, basil were phenomenal. And I do not remember what its name is on the menu, the clam with white sauce was a perfect balance, the white sauce and clams are salty and savory and you get hit with some spice and a savory crust** this restaurant hits every element, from door greeting to taking your wood fire pizza to go and saying goodbye.*** if nothing else, even if you have a bad plate, the food and ambiance is all passion based. 👌 10/10 for this local owned business.
root & vine in Morganton was a wonderful stop for dinner on our way back to Charlotte from Asheville. We visited on a Saturday evening in September at 7pm and there was no wait. We were greeted pleasantly by the receptionist who ushered us to the patio, which was abuzz with a decent amount of people. Our server Dominique was quite polite and complied with all our requests. For drinks, we got a couple of mocktails—Thai Shrubbery and You do Yuzu So Well. We loved the notes of basil and cilantro in Thai Shrubbery. The Yuzu drink was okayish. For food, we got the falafel and the bianca pizza. The falafel, albeit having a small portion, was quite delicious. The dish comes with 3 falafels. The bianca pizza was our favorite—we could really taste all the different kinds of cheese in the pizza, and it was a nice dish to share among 2 people. Where they can improve is: they should update their menu online(on Google Maps). We were looking forward to the chicken tacos mentioned on their page on Google Maps, but they said it was the old menu and that they don’t serve it anymore. Overall, root & vine isn’t exactly a restaurant which is reasonably priced, but the taste and the overall experience make it worth for the price. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a chilled out dinner evening in Morganton. They’ve seating both inside and outside on the patio. Parking nearby is street parking.
Food was fantastic. Service was beyond lacking. Sad to see so many staff members standing around while you run out of water and beer. Glad they start you out with water, so when you run out of beer, you won't thirst to death. Never have I been told multiple times my beer was coming, then have a bartender come ask what I wanted. Its beer. I didnt order some fancy umbrella drink. Just a local draft tap. But food itself was good enough to get anyone to go back. I'll just bring my own drink in next time. Pork was cooked to perfection. Moist with just the right amount of sauce. Greens were delicious. Pickled veggies were just the right amount of spicy. Pizza had to be the best Ive had in the surrounding counties. I'll definitely be getting the crab cake stack next time. The table beside me ordered it and looked amazing.
Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We sat outside since it was nice that evening.
One of our favorite places in all of Western NC! Loved the salad special tonight with arugula, figs, and pumpkin vinaigrette. Of course the duck was AMAZING. Bacon brownie for dessert!
Wow, this had to be the best pizza 🍕 I have ever had. Cooked in a fireplace oven and had a great taste. Will be going back for more.
My husband myself and our neighbors stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. My husband and I are new to town and moved here from the Charlotte area so we decided to give the restaurant a try. The food was phenomenal. Service we were a little disappointed with but it's understandable during this time of shortage. The menu was very short and things that I had anticipated on ordering were not on the menu due to the covid pandemic which is very understandable but I think it would benefit the company to let customers know this information online on your Facebook on Google and any other place that you're getting reviews or where there might be advertising and pictures of food that you no longer have in stock or your temporarily out of. Also I'm a visual person so when I look at a menu its really hard for me to order. sometimes I would rather see a picture and know exactly what I want in a minutes decision that reading through everything on the menu when you've not been to a restaurant before it's kind of exhausting so after numerous attempts with certain things on the menu that was a very limited correction I finally agreed on the chicken with grits and it was amazing. Everyone at the table was pleased with their order it was just getting through the process of ordering that was long. Also maybe consider flights of your draft beers it's very common in Charlotte so many times people come in and possibly want to try a couple of different types of beers especially when you're limited with supplies.. last but least my other suggestion would be to have salt and pepper Grinders on the table. there are disposable ones that work great and a customer that spends 50 or $60 on a plate and then another 10 or 15 on wine per person shouldn't have to get up and get pepper for themself to later be chastised by the server.
Quaint and well decorated atmosphere, donât let the Stark exterior of a half dead strip mall dissuade you from eating here. The pork pad Thai was excellent and served a very unique plate. I did ask for my meal to be hot which was the spiciest
This place was our absolute favorite. Every time we go out, this is the first and last place we go! Amazing cocktails, so fresh, and the bar tenders were awesome!
I'll start off by saying this place isn't my typical lunch spot but I wanted to try something new. I got the Appalachian cowboy it came with roast beef, jalapeno jack cheese, onion, lettuce, and roasted red peppers with a side of bbq basil dressing.
I have never been. Went within an hour of closing on a Saturday night. Greeted warmly. Had my dog with me. The staff was beyond kind to her. The food was very good. Service also very good. Prices were reasonable and portions were spot on. The only su

My sixteen year old cat and I were new to the area, and unfortunately her kidneys failed a week before Christmas. The staff here were so kind to us and took care of her so respectfully. I also wish I could thank the kind woman who was there with her
I was very anxious going into this to get a suit, but this place made it so laid back and easy! I had a very comfortable experience, and found everything I needed. Thank you Tracy for your help and advice through this process! :)
Great local bottle shop. They have outdoor seating, great service, and excellent prices. There's a really cool shuffleboard and various areas to sit and talk or watch the game. Check them out sometime and see what's free on the menu for Sunday. I wen
