Single bed room is very nice and CLEAN. Rooms are moderately sound proof, breakfast is sufficient to start the day on a light stomach. No real complaints here, maybe a lil bacon 🥓 for the breakfast? Nice Lil welcome folder with useful info of the area. High quality, good service, in short they care. Would stay again.
This mom and pop motel was perfect for our two night getaway to the Catskills. Our ground floor room was modern, clean and spacious. The little cafe offering a free continental breakfast each morning was cute. The staff could not have been more polite and helpful. The motel was near the FDR family home, Springwood, Eleanor Roosevelt's cottage Val-Kill and the Culinary Institute of America. Highly recommend!
Classic privately owned motel. Neat and clean property and room. Easy acces you can park directly in front of your room if you're on the first floor. Retro space and experience, but with modern amenities like wifi, and breakfast bar. Some noise from the busy road during the day, but quiet at night, with almost no traffic. I had a single bed room and it was quite small. No counter/vanity in the bath.
This spot offers clean, well-furnished rooms and a complimentary breakfast. We stayed here because it is just down the street from the FDR Presidential Museum, but it's convenient to many towns along the Hudson River Valley. The friendly staff recommended restaurants and other places to visit. It's not a fancy place, but we found the price reasonable and enjoyed supporting a local hotel.
The inn was very clean and conveniently located. The owners were very helpful and suggested dinner in Rhinebeck, which is about 10 miles away. The breakfast was served in a former coffee shop and was very enjoyable! The overall stay was a blast from the past. I highly recommend!
Stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting sites around the area. Was not sure what to expect but was INCREDIBLY impressed with the size and cleanliness of the rooms. I was more impressed with these rooms and the level of cleanliness here than in the large chain hotels we stayed in on this trip. The continental breakfast is basic but sufficient, and if you’re really hungry, the Eveready Diner is right down the road. Our room comfortably fit our family of four and all of our suitcases and belongings. The double sinks were a nice feature and made getting ready at night and in the morning much easier. The beds were very comfortable and the AC was fantastic (we were staying there when it was 90 Plus during the day and easily still 70 degrees and muggy at night). Also loved the old keys (yes real keys! Not the keycards we’ve all grown accustomed to using). Don’t overlook this gem.
I booked one of the "rustic" rooms and couldn't have been more pleased. The room reminderd me of FDR's Warm Springs retreat. Charming, spotless, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and very polite staff. Continental breakfast was a bonus. Would definitely stay again or recommend to others. Reasonably priced, too!
Should have stayed elsewhere. Place is relatively clean, but old, really old. Incandescent lights, single thick curtain that interferes with the wall AC, tiny toilets from the 70s and most importantly BROKEN WIFI!! If you have a hotel in a low cell signal area, make sure your WiFi works! Edit: Here's some additional information in response to the owner: - I paid $187/night, just searched and there are better prices for better places. - I had 4 different devices all having the same issue with the WiFi, so def. not "user error"; it connects and then drops off after some time. Also, just curious, how exactly would you have helped me? You have a faulty router, would you have located and replaced it? - I didn't check whether the bulbs are actually LED, but the light emitted was very low, much like a 40w incandescent one, you can barely see yourself in the mirror. I'm sorry about the bad review, I realize it's not good for your business, but there are some really simple low cost improvements you could do and you simply haven't.
