Romano's Restaurant - Italian restaurant in Julian - 2718 B St, USA

Overall, we had a wonderful experience here. We were greeted quickly and sat down within 5 minutes of arrival. The waiters were quick and courteous. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered cheese garlic bread, lasagna, and ravioli. The entrees were pretty good size, so we didn't end up trying the soup/salad. The prices were very reasonable and they boxed up our leftovers for us before we left. The restaurant is in an old house so it could be a little cleaner, but mostly it's just old and I couldn't dock them for that. Extremely impressed with the food and service here, strongly recommend coming here for dinner!

Excellent Sicilian restaurant. Excellent food. The owner came by. Two of his sons helped run the restaurant. The interior is casual, charming, and romantic. Excellent lighting and a good place to bring your date. The potions are generous, even the salad we had to take some home and spaghetti and meatballs were awesome. We had a bottle of wine which is reasonably priced. Excellent service. I would highly recommend this place to visit when you are in Julian.

A friend recommended me this place and it did not disappoint. For 3 people we order the garlic cheese bread, a 14in pizza (half deluxe/half veggie) and the creamy pesto. It was more than enough. The staff was super nice! It does get full quickly, we arrive at like 12pm and it was calm and then after that it got super busy. 100% would recommend and come back!

I ordered a vegetarian pizza for pickup. I waited several minutes for service when I arrived, even though only two tables were occupied in the restaurant. The vegetarian pizza was missing both the mushrooms and onions. It only had a few pieces of bell pepper. It mainly only had black olives and sliced tomatoes. Although disappointed in the toppings, the pizza had a good amount of cheese and the crust was good.

We ate here this evening around 6 pm. It wasn’t busy which maybe should have been a sign. Ugly surroundings (see pics), overly loud music for us (we had trouble hearing each other even though the youngest of us was 40) and poor service. Waitress didn’t refill our drinks once and never checked on us at all. Many members of the staff would walk by and even bump our chairs, and not acknowledge us nor check or drinks or food. On top of it all the food was bland and indifferent at best. There are many good places to eat in Julian—avoid this one. Note: all these pics were taken as I sat in my chair at the table.

Went to Romano's on a Sunday evening/night. Not too busy at that time, but I'm glad we got there when we did. We ordered the 18" pizza and spaghetti for the kiddos. The pizza was delicious and fed 3 adults! I would highly recommend Romano's for delicious pizza!

Cozy and warm atmosphere, with some unique menu entrees. While sitting here, I saw a gentleman pull up out front to deliver two flats of eggs, so I can attest to the ingredients being fresh and local.

Based on my experience here, this restaurant is nice and comfortable. Cozy environment within. Wine options available and a few beer ones, no liquor. Food was pretty good. Served hot and fresh. Small kids menu section. Prices are a bit above average in comparison to other like places. Customer service was fine. Splitting checks not available. One restroom inside for customers only. Overall, would recommend and return.
