My husbands company held an overnight trip/picnic at rolling huts. After looking at the google reviews about the beds and the bathroom, among other things like bugs etc, we booked a nearby hotel room. We were sorry we did. We spent the afternoon out on the beautiful lawn, and walking the grounds. The bathrooms were VERY clean, and quite nicer that I was expecting. The service was excellent. The cabins were super cool and the beds actually looked comfortable. It was a really cool atmosphere. We totally should have stayed. You should stay!

Very much a do-it-yourself kind of stay but we enjoyed it a lot. The only thing was the toilet situation, we had to go to a separate building to shower and to use the bathroom. There’s a toilet in the cabin but not with running water and had lots of moths so we decided to use the one in the main bathroom. Otherwise it’s a lovely place with pizza out front.

I stayed in a tent on a cot. 2 cots per tent. Bringing my air mattress and a pad I was fine. Good netting on the open windows. Shower was good. No mosquito bits! Very hot weather, but cooled off during the night. Only car charging was on the 115 volt receptible that provided 117 V. About the best price in the area? $82 USD for a cot in a tent.

Had a fabulous time at the Rolling Huts. We were the only guests on the property, but the staff attended to every detail. We arrived to a clean hut, plenty of towels and firewood, a stock of basic supplies and a luxurious and very clean sauna, shower and bathroom just steps from our hut. The morning views of the mountains were awesome and the things we came for in the Methow were all an easy drive from the huts. We will be back!

We had a great time staying at Rolling Huts during a snowy winter weekend. The location is beautiful and cross-country ski trails leave right from the property. The huts are nice looking on the outside, but have a number of quirks on the inside that you wouldn't expect from the high design exterior. We were prepared for a camping-type experience, but I can understand how someone might be disappointed if not prepared. A few things to know to help prepare yourself: 1) The huts each come with a port-a-potty (not a composting toilet) that is weirdly situated right next to the bedroom wall. Ours was clean and comfortable to use, but because of the location, there is exhaust fan in the bedroom to keep the smell out. We didn't have a smell problem, but running the exhaust fan did mean we had a hard time keeping the cabin warm during the colder nights. I would recommend bringing extra warm blankets/sleeping bags if you get cold. The toilet is also not lit, so bring a headlamp! 2) The hut is minimally equipped with supplies--think camping cabin--so you might want the following: lantern (very little light in the living room space at night), cooking supplies/camp stove (only microwave and dishware provided, no knives/cutting board/pots etc), hand sanitizer or a plan for hand-washing (there is no running water inside, just an outdoor spigot), and extra pillows/bedding for the 2nd bed if you plan to use it. However, I definitely recommend the experience if you like simplicity and views in nature! There is ample firewood provided for the stove, coffee, and a porch to watch the snow fall--a perfect winter getaway. We stayed in hut 6, which I think is the best one (furthest away from others). However, it is also furthest from the parking lot, so if you want the closest hut to your car that is hut 1. Hut 5 was nice as well--huts 2, 3, and 4 are more clustered together so these would be my last choice--though all have nice private views from the back porch.

BEWARE! No indoor water - No indoor bathroom (only detached outhouse). Real bathroom is a walk to another building and shared space. Both showers broken. Couldn’t get wifi to work at all. Thin mattress ontop of plywood - no real bed. It’s WAY overpriced for camping in a metal drafty box with a noisy space heater and no seating except box wood bench. While set back from road all you hear is the highway noise. It’s not glamping (luxury camping). I wanted out of my reservation - owner refused. Yikes never again. I felt totally scammed.

Someone did a great job with the design and advertising. Basically you're paying for a big box with wooden cubes for furniture. There is no comfortable seating. Its alo pretty miserable to use a porta potty in the dark with no light. The mattress was great though and the scenery was beautiful. The fireplace was pretty special.

Despite the smoke in the area, our stay at the Rolling Huts was lovely-it was a true glamping experience. One of the most pleasant surprises was that the hut had its own AC unit! On a day when it was 90 degrees outside, it was amazing to show up and find the AC in the cabin. The central bathrooms were clean and tidy (and not THAT far of a walk from the cabins!) and if you really needed to go in the middle of the night, there was the convenience of the attached port-a-potty. It's close enough between Mazama and Winthrop to enjoy both spots-would definitely return. The only reason for giving it four versus five stars was price-I don't know if it was quite worth $495.00 for three nights.

The best! We booked last minute and got a great tent site, right on the lake with a small beach! What more could a #130 Malamute ask for? Bathrooms were clean and accessible, parking was easy and crowd was pleasant and quiet. I must admit, the night
