Rodeway Inn San Clemente Beach - Hotel in San Clemente - 1301 N El Camino Real, USA

We've stayed at several San Clemente locations, and chose Rodeway as a less expensive option. We were surprised at how comfortable our room was, especially with the ocean view. Rooms are well appointed and clean. The hotel managers were very kind and helpful. The parking garage was nice to have, and the elevator is clean and functional. Just down the sidewalk is a quaint breakfast place with good food. Downtown SC is just a short way away. The only thing that we thought would be an improvement, would be an outside sitting area. Perhaps a bench over by the smoking area would be nice. We used our own chairs which was fine. We will be back😁

Amazing experience! Many of the negative are probably out of date as they have remodeled many of the rooms and the one I stayed in was very nice. The staff were friendly and the comfortable bed and air conditioning made this a very positive experience. The Roadway Inn is in the heart of San Clemente with walking access to amazing restaurants and bars. Great bang for the buck!

When I arrived, sheets & towels didn't seem to be clean either stained or improperly. Immediately reported this to management, was told room would be cleaned, it was not while I was there. |Stayed another night, woke up with bites on my legs. Further check the sheets & discovered tiny black specs...... BED BUGS. Reported this management & informed him would not recommend & not booked any future dates. Manager had an attitude & stated "that's ok we're always booked"

Room was smell. Very noisy because the windows are very old. It's like living in a 1970s motel. Very disappointed with living experience. Carpet color was strange and bed covers are really uncomfortable to use. Coffee machine should not be put in the bathroom. We appreciate the friendly reception and they are helpful, but the room was the worst one that I have never seen before. Trip somewhat boiled by the poor living condition. (

I remember this place because of the fluffy pillows and kind staff and I’m writing another review as I’ve been back and will always return because it’s a large room, comfy beds and central to everything! I love to stay at this hotel! Five stars!

BED BUGS, stained or not properly washed towels. Reported to Manager who had a bad attitude, informed him we would not make any future reservations, his answer was "it's ok others will stay"

Who thinks the puke green carpet and clown inspired comforters look good?? Truly white trash, cheap and ugly. The "interior decorator " is color blind or blind.

Nice comfortable room for a good price. Rooms are avg size. Staff was very nice. Easy check in and out. |We stayed 2 nights and slept well both nights. Our room was on the 2nd floor so we did get a little road noise as it is even with street, car noise died down around 10pm so it didnt interfere with sleeping. |Parking was easy to access and included in the price. |Would stay here again. |
