Positive: The price and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Negative: It did not feel safe! No chain locks on doors. Very disgusting feel. Stink bugs on the wall. Took 5 minutes to get room keys to work each time we entered our room. Couldn?t figure out how to work tv. Fall & hurt yourself in the bathroom= tetanus shot!

I begged my husband to cancel as soon as we pulled up 4 nights ago. We had stayed before and knew it was dirty and not a place we wanted to stay. He talked me into to staying because there was a $75 cancellation fee. Immediately upon laying in the bed, my son had a bug crawling on him. Unfortunately we did not investigate the mattresses like we should have, due to our inexperience with the issue. We were eaten alive by bed bugs, and I have never been through such uncomfortable, swollen itchy bites. And now I am paranoid to bring them home! I alone have 30 bites that are nickle size. Please avoid this place at all costs!

It’s okay for a low budget place. Could have used some updating in places. The tub mat was awful looking, did not use it. They need to replace it. There is a small pond with ducks in the rear parking lot. You can sit by the pond if you wish, table and chairs.

In looking for a reasonably priced stay in the area and Bookings offer up this property. After finding our room, the smell of people smoking weed on the balcony kept us inside. Overall condition was fair but had and overall "sketchy" feel. It didn't have an elevator so carrying a bigger, heavier bag up and down the stairs was challenging. On the way down the stairs I stumbled a couple steps from the bottom and went head first into the corner of the window jam. Luckily I only got a good lump on the side of my face without creating a bleeding wound. Won't be a return guest here. The muscovy ducks in the parking lot were the best part of the stay.

I am sharing this review due to the experience I had at rodeway inn. Started out really good staff. Very friendly during a few days that I was there, the cleaning staff came in to do what they normally do. Then they were counting the towels that I had. They questioned me about the two extra towels that I got and that they're missing towels. Actually they weren't. They were there who sends somebody in to count towels to make sure you did not take any. The owner of this hotel sent his housekeeper in because he was worried about missing a couple of towels. Also the same day earlier in the morning I was down there getting coffee and the gentleman stepped away to answer the phone so I thought I would be kind and take the carafe because it was done and move it over to where it was so other people could have coffee. Meanwhile he came running out there hollering at me and telling me I'm handicapped. I shouldn't be doing this. I could burn myself. I apologize to him. I said I'm sorry but I was trying to be kind and help you out and he was still going on about that. So I decided to Lodge a complaint to choice hotels about my experience there his staff had heard me and I guess reported back to him also. I'm sure choice hotels once I lodged my complaint. Contacted him to do their investigation prior to all this the day earlier I said I'm going to probably stay a few more days. Can I come down in the morning and check in again? They said no problem. So today I go to get a few more days and they deny me to check in. They gave me some sort of excuse and there was availability clearly showing online and when I called choice hotels again and that they also showed the same thing. I was talking to choice hotels lodging yet another complaint. One of the women behind the counter came yelling at me outside. Then I'm blocking the door which I was not and she told me I had to move and she did not want me out there talking about their hotel to choice hotels about them. She threatened to call the police on me and I told her. Please do and she did which I'm glad because now I have documentation that I provided to choice hotels as well. And the good news is that footage is recorded on the body cam as well. And it also shows that I'm not belligerent mean, angry or whatever else now mind you I am handicapped in amputee. I'm on an electric cart and I have no transportation right now. I had somebody drop me off there the other day so they basically kicked me out the door. Meanwhile, choice got me set up at another one in the same town, but it turns out the owner owns that one as well. So that means I can't go there. Meanwhile, while the police were there, they were very nice and I say the Sweetwater Police department and they help me. The good news is while this was transpiring as well I was on the phone with choice hotels furthering my complaint from earlier about treated being treated like a criminal over towels and then the managers unprofessional attitude towards being kind and helping him . The good news is too. While I was talking about what was going on there and I also told corporate choice hotels that the police are there that he they called them on me and I told them to go ahead because the last time I looked we live in America and we have the freedom to make a phone call from wherever we want. Basically I can make a phone call from wherever I want provided there's something not posted saying you cannot use this area for phone calls. I would have been glad to make the call somewheres else but I kept on dropping cell calls in the area and the only way I could do it was outside at that location. Terrible owner manager in one particular staff member. Very nasty mean woman.

Great Spot for the price. Kevin the manager was very professional and polite. Alan at the desk was funny and helpful. Very smooth check in process. Paulina, Diana and Tasha at the desk were awesome! Some of the best consistent polite staff for a low budget I have ever dealt with. Kevin sure knows how to lead his team with kindness. Mary the housekeeper was polite and nice. No issue with late check out. Very accommodating. Nice duck pond in the back with friendly ducks walking around. Coffee and bed was comfortable. Air unit was great and worked well. Tub valve is in bad shape as half the water comes from shower and the other half in the bathtub keeping your feet in water the entire shower which isn't ideal. Caulking in shower needed to be replaced. Nice heater fan in the bathroom for those cold nights. Very quiet location with good people and no riff raf which was appreciated. Top bed spread and blanket need to be washed more frequently as they were stained and didn't smell fresh. Didn't use the towels because they were white and all had staining which these should be checked daily or use a stronger detergent for optimum whiteness. Pillows and sheets smelled fresh and were clean. If the tub worked, towels were white, and the bed spread and blankets were fresh, I would.give it 5 stars all day long, although minor , the place was good. A deposit for incidentals is 50.00 cash which they provide a receipt or credit card hold. TV is Spectrum and had the channels you needed. Breakfast is waffles, coffee, toast, muffins, cereal , and milk. Nice sofa bed to relax on. Overall I enjoyed my stay aside from a few maintenance and housekeeping issues that should be addressed in a weekly audit of the rooms which the housekeepers should communicate to management about. Housekeepers are awesome and don't hoover around you during checkout which is rare for a low budget hotel. Only Rhodeway I will stay is here. Thanks Kevin and team .

With 4 screaming kids in my back seat in the rain, I accidentally made this booking. I immediately called to cancel and they told me to call the 3rd party I booked through. The 3rd party wouldn’t do anything until the booking was complete. Fast forward to completed booking, 3rd party said they couldn’t cancel. I would have to call hotel. I called hotel and got “Mac” who wouldn’t give me his last name. I and the 3rd party called multiple times for them to tell me they don’t have my money. Never got my money. 3rd party told me they sent the hotel the money. When I called the hotel back, “Mac” would yell over me and cut me off then hang up when I wouldn’t just lay down and take it. My takeaway: 1)Don’t travel tired with 3 exasperated children and an infant. 2) “Mac” is a liar and has no customer service skills.

room was great but management is VERY unprofessional. so yes we did leave 30 min late I have an offered to pay a small fee for staying in there. well they weren’t having it. my wife left her phone in the room so i went back wanting to go look for it and they took me in the room for 2 seconds then told me i had to leave the hotel in 20 min my iphone said my phone was in the room. so after arguing with them that the phone was in there, and then I wanted to look they threatened to call the cops. like i just wanted to find my wife phone. so after 10 min we went back to the front desk and asked the lady if we can go in there and find the phone. she let us well sure enough the phone was in there sitting on the towel rack. the first room they took us too smell, like piss so I asked for a different room so the kind lady told me i can get another room.
