Rodeway Inn Flagstaff-Downtown - Featured Reviews (537)
Was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to room 207, very clean and nicely renovated. Lovely female touch with a plant design above the door frame of the vanity and shower room.
The shower head was a massaging touch to a long day of being in a car.
Enjoyed the quiet room and comfortable beds.
Quick note to management Both beds being very comfortable, make lots of noise when moving to turn or move around in the bed. Wakes you when sleeping. Please put on clean sheets, and lay in the bed and try it yourself to understand the sounds the beds make for customers. Hope this helps your business improve to know things like this. 👏🏽😊👍🏽
Happy Traveling Customers 👏🏽🎉
In two months of adventures in TX, NM, & AZ, this is the worst place we've stayed.
IT IS LITERALLY A FREAKING SWAMP!
We booked online for a queen & got a tiny room with a full size bed upon arrival. They transferred us to a queen room (same tiny space though) since that's what we paid for & the mattress quality went from decent affordable hotel comfort to crappy springs & thin fabric. The AC is loud. The shower hardly freaking works. It's a guessing game on how to turn it off since all the dials turn indefinitely in both directions. The TV is mounted angled at the ceiling, & this room that was pulled together for us apparently didn't get time to dry after being steam cleaned so the entire carpet is a gross swamp & we will both have our shower shoes bedside for any midnight bathroom breaks. Unfortunately this was through booking & we cannot just back out. Freaking hooray. It was immediately agreed, never again here. We just wanted to be closer to downtown to walk around in the evening but this isn't worth it, at all. I really wish I could leave zero stars because I would never tell someone to stay here, especially when there are way better hotels in flag for the same price.
This dumpy motel is a prime example of motels ripping their customers off. He said last night that he gave the impressions of giving a $10 refundable incidental fee like all hotels do. I found my self confused why it was only $10. After waiting 20minutes in the front desk when i tried to claim my deposit. I had to get house keeping contact him then i was handed this receipt which says Hotel Service Fee $4.50 & Surcharge Fee 5.50 and that i wont get my money back. I told him for $77 i could have stayed at Quality in. But for $53 i could stay at this Rodeway Inn as i just needed a place to sleep. So it became $63. I made mention to keep the money and i will write a bad review. I will also be contacting the Flagstaff Better Business Bureau. Please read the other reviews & complaints. Stay at this dump site at your own risk!!
I am disabled and the second floor does not have elevator. I did make it up the set of stairs (with much difficulty) and into the room, both of which are BADLY in need of renovations. Parking was VERY limited and I could hardly park my F150 4-door. The attendant on duty was very polite, friendly, and understanding when I had to cancel my reservations due to no elevator and room / stairs in bad shape. I did have to forfeit my 1 night stay/deposit as I did not state I needed a handicap room on my reservation.
It’s not a 5 star hotel but I had a great experience for the money. It’s extremely close to all of the nightlife that flagstaff has to offer and the lady at the front desk was super nice. Pulled into town really late and just needed a place to crash and would definitely stay again.
For the price they charge, do not have high expectations. I had read reviews on this place prior to arriving and my husband had called in advance to address some of the issues we were reading on the reviews and our inquiries were answered with honesty from the person on shift. The tiles, restroom and shower aren't the best so bring some shower slippers. The AC wasn't the best but we closed the restroom door to keep the cool air in the bedroom. No bedbugs at all (which I was most scared of). So if you stay here, I would say have low expectations. Bring shower shoes. Wipe down everything. We looked for the cheapest hotel and we definitely got the cheapest 😅 We will not be back and rather spend more funds for a room elsewhere then have this experience we had here.
This place is absolutely disgusting. Upon arrival you can tell the floors have never been cleaned. There was trash on the floor, so they obviously never vacuum l. But a few days into our stay the guy was vacuuming the carpet outside the rooms? The linens and towels are very dingy and stained. I read the other reviews about bed bugs being present so I checked before I even brought my stuff up but didn't see any. The sink in our room was barely even a dribble so I could even wash my hands so we used the shower for that. The parking lot is super tiny so it's hard to park if you have a truck. They also charge you an extra 10$ "hotel fee" when asked what for the front desk person said it's for maintenance. Hilarious. The only good thing about this place is the location. It's walking distance from downtown. We will not be back to this place it's not worth what your paying for.
Mold in bathroom, bed covered in stains, shower is dirty. Tiny bathroom for 2 people. Afraid to sleep on the bed if there are bed bugs and ruined a hopeful romantic night.
This hotel is so fun! Kids loved the rooms with disco lights and nostalgic throwback decor! Fire pit under the stars or throw some bags! Though a bit chilly the kids loved the 80 degree pool and managed even with it only being 39 degrees out. Pet fr

Maybe the best chain hotel in town. Walk a couple of blocks to plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. Beautiful, clean, spacious and light rooms. Nice breakfast, with friendly staff there and at check in. Upgraded to a corner suite.
I was pleasantly surprised! The lobby was lodge-y themed with a large wood-burning fireplace. Front desk was very helpful. The room was spacious (2 queens and pullout couch) and included a coffee bar area with Keurig, fridge, microwave, and safe tuck
I won a bet with my buddy about who had the best burrito in town. I made him eat an El Mayor from Tres Amigos. He looked me dead in the eyes and said: "you win".
Gracie Barra Flagstaff has been such a great place to watch our son learn fundamentals of life, safety and become more confident as a 6 year old. We've only been here since January 2023 and we have enjoyed every part of being involved in this academy
