Rodeway Inn & Suites - Hotel in Colorado Springs - 1623 S Nevada Ave, USA

We booked the room and went ahead and paid the non refundable price, First mistake. We just wanted a place to stay for the night, no extras needed. The person at the front desk was very nice and personable. No issues there. We get to the room and had a hard time unlocking the door. Once we got it open, the stench of urine filled our nose. It wreaked. There were no mattress covers and the mattress was stained covered by a thin sheet. No comforter, just a blanket with a straight sheet on top of it. Could not get over the smell and the fear of possible be bugs. Our dog would not even go on the bed nor would she lay on the floor. She was very anxious in the room. The area around the hotel was sketchy and full of homeless people. Did not feel safe. We went to the front desk and returned the key. They said we should get the $150 deposit, but not the $93 we paid for the room. I didn't fight too much as it was a non refundable booking. I did, however, call choice privileges and complain. They said that the owner/ manager would be the only ones that could do a refund. We left it at that. We went to another hotel. Twice the price but 1000 times better.

I had an interesting situation and Abby and Chanel were beyond helpful! They were both so kind and lovely to work with. I bothered them with many calls and questions and they were so genuine and sweet everything I spoke to them. We need more people in this work like Abby and Chanel!! They are incredible woman and workers and I hope they are recognized for the tremendous job they do!!! Thank you both again for being such wonderful humans!!!!

I had booked the room for 4 days, I stayed one night. I would take nothing out of my suitcase because I was worried about bed bugs. I took two videos and my company said get out of their now. I have traveled all of the world even all throughout India and I have never had a Hotel room this disgusting. The people that worked their were very nice and friendly. The area around the hotel had guards at the entrance of the grocery store and the Chick Filet had its restroom code on the receipt, due to the people that would try to come in off of the street. The ownership should be stripped away from this Roadway Inn and up graded! I have never written a good or bad review, but I felt that I had to warn other travelers!

I got this room because it was pet friendly, seemed to have okay ratings, and was in the right location for an event I had. First off, the whole property smells like smoke. It looks run down and fairly dilapidated. I went in, thinking looks can be deceiving, and received my room. I don’t know who called that room a suite, but I would not get sweet dreams. First off, there was broken glass, a broken chair, and a random plastic cup directly outside my room. They put me, as a woman traveling alone, in a room around the corner without cameras anywhere near. I walked in and the room smelled like smoke, the bedding had an obvious stain on it, and I found a literal screw (that I kept as a trophy) on the bed. I went into the bathroom and the tub was not clean, there was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom, and the towels looked dirty. Beyond that, the deadbolt was broken off the door, and the lock itself was taped (I assume the battery) with shipping tape. The good news: the wifi is great, because I was able to use it to book a hotel somewhere that didn’t make me afraid for my life. Spend $10 and book literally anywhere else.

I would never recommend anybody stay here. The reviews lately speak for themselves. Feels unsafe, smells like urine in the lobby. The room key didn't work the first time. The employee (manager) claimed they just forgot to spray the room down. It was disgusting, The beds were a mess, the room smelled atrocious, the bathroom was disgusting. Didn't even spend 5 minutes scoping it out before saying absolutely nobody should safely stay here. We literally had to call the police on the manager as she threatened us to get off the property when we asked for a refund. Very unsafe and disgusting environment. Save yourself the trouble and don't stay here.

So I never write reviews, but this was an atrocious spot. Not only is the surrounding area sketchy, but after staying in a dirty room (which we didn’t complain about because we understand it’s a discount hotel) but then they took money out of our deposit because a towel had dirt on it. Overall, just a real unenjoyable spot to stay. Spend the extra money, the price isn’t worth how bad this spot was.

Our room was clean fresh smelling , in complete working order and very comfortable. There are people constantly monotering the grounds and helping anyone who needs help. They have under taken a huge landscaping project that is beautiful and will be a big improvement for years to come. The manager is friendly accommodating and firm.the staff and guests are all happy and friendly. There has been no loud anything day ir night and our stay has been way better than we expected.we are very pleased and would recommend this motel to anyone..a great value and wonderful experience. Thanks to a great staff .

Do not bother to stay here. Shady and unkempt. Steal your deposit with some b.s. excuse. No towels, tv didn't work, toilet was going to fall off and someone tried to get into my room. Doesn't deserve any rating. Dirty towels and used soap left in room. I had a reservation and room was not ready. better motels available. I booked for an appointment. Next appointment I will stay elsewhere. Recommend you do too.
