Rodeway Inn & Suites - Hotel in New Orleans - 4940 Chef Menteur Hwy, USA

The room was decent but, room service was very delinquent, had to find them to get fresh linen & have trash removed from room. Location of hotel was ok, the front office was very inept at Customer Service for sure. Did not register our room correctly, everyday we left to visit Son in hospital once back to room we had to have room keys reset. Management only had very small reception window inside of locked interior foyer, were not dressed professionally, night person unsure how to solve Room booking issues, even day person was kind of unsure. Had to have an Overcharge cost refunded to our bank acct. Place seemed to still be following strict Covid Pandemic Isolation priorities, would not stay at hotel again. Had Continental Breakfast listed on their website but had interior reception area locked down, NOT open to guests!!

We were there for Mardi Gras. Stayed 1 night. The first room they gave me rooms to was not ready, I went back and they gave me keys to another room. This room smelled like an ashtray. Went back to request a different room but there were no more available. They offered air freshener or said they could refund the money and we could go stay somewhere else. Trying to find another hotel at that point was going to be even more expensive and probably further away so we took the air freshener and they gave us a discount on the room. Staff was nice. The rooms are meh. What you would expect for that hotel. We felt safe enough, not sure how clean it actually is so we slept on top of the comforter and use our own blankets and mini pillows we brought on our ride over. There’s a Walmart a few blocks away, Raising Canes is in the plaza next door, ATM and gas station just down the street.

On their website they said that they serve continental breakfast they do not. The beds were falling apart. Fixtures in the bathroom are coming out. We found trash that didn't get swept up in the corner behind the door.. one of the beds we found a bloody towel underneath it... It was quiet and the girl at the front desk was awesome.. other than that I would not stay there again.

The room was disgusting! We had to come to New Orleans for a funeral and it just so happened to be the weekend of the LSU & Bama game so hotels were scarce. The photos on the hotel website look so much better than the actual room. I had to ask for new pillow cases because ours were dirty and the ones I got from the front desk had makeup stains on them. There were spider webs in the corners (even found a bug/beetle/roach in the room), every surface was dirty and there was some type of dried up liquid on the door. Probably soda. Residues on every single surface. We ended up going to Walmart for Lysol to sanitize every surface in the room before we could sit anything down. One of the staff members, I assume, came knocking on our door around 1 am. He didn't know anyone was staying in the room, but why wouldn't you just check with the front desk or call the room? We'll never stay at this or any other hotel affiliated with this company. And to think someone tried to sell us some discounted stay in an exchange at other locations for going to a 2 hr seminar. I'm so glad we didn't pay for that, I would've been pissed. Showered in Nike slides even after wiping the tub out with Lysol wipes. Obviously we will never stay here again. Ever.

There is NO breakfast and when you ask they get RUDE!! Hair in the tub, bathroom fan is ALWAYS on, toilet paper holder falling out the wall, toilet hard to flush, and I can keep going! HORRIBLE PLACE!

Do not book this place through Expedia or any travel website. I booked on 10/3 through Expedia and found out shortly after that I needed to be on the West Bank instead so I tried to cancel because nowhere in the policy does it say by how long you have to cancel. So I contacted Expedia only to find out you can't cancel after you book the reservation

Honestly this is a nice place to stay! I landed a job last minute in New Orleans & needed a temporary place to crash until I find my home. It does have some age to it, yet I was suprised at how decent it is. Especially for a decent price when you need somewhere to stay and explore the city. People are really friendly! I definitely recommend if you're on a budget & are not picky.

We booked this hotel for two nights and was very pleased with the room and location. The room seemed huge after being on a cruise for a week. It was very clean and had a fridge and microwave. It was conveniently located. There were many stores and fast food places nearby. We were traveling with children and never felt unsafe. The bedding was new and comfortable. We went down for coffee, juice, and muffins in the mornings. Everything was clean and restocked when we were there. The staff was very nice as well as the other guests we encountered. Overall a nice room for a fantastic price.
