Rodeway Inn & Suites - Hotel in Rehoboth Beach - 19540-A, Coastal Hwy, USA

The reviews of late really had us almost cancel our stay. My family of 5 (wife, three teen daughters) were just looking for a place to stay over a long weekend where we could basically sleep, shower, and spend most of our time at the beach and shops. Not wanting to drop $350/night for a room we would barely be in, this place was perfect. I can only speak to room 112. It was clean and cleaned daily by a wonderful young lady. Shower was a bit dated and so was the refrigerator, but neither of them would have warranted a complaint. We did have a dirty blanket on one of the beds which our cleaning lady noticed and immediately changed out.|Every employee we interacted with was polite and helpful.|When you see that this hotel is much cheaper than almost everything else, you know concessions will need to be made. And in my opinion, this was the breakfast. Toast, bagels, muffins, juice/coffee/tea... that's it. But again, nothing stated anywhere there would be more. |I am glad we didn't cancel and took the risk against the reviews. All I can say is lower your expectations, enjoy the location, and request room 112... it was nice.

We had a good stay here. Room was exactly as expected for the price. Girl at the front desk was very nice. Even upgraded us to a better room at no charge. Breakfast wasn't much, but at least it was something. Would stay here again.

Rooms are a bit dated but what I saw they are remodeling them. Our room was clean and in order. We had a two bedroom suite and it was perfect. It had a kitchenette with full size fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and sink, a long with a small dining table. Staff was friendly and courteous. My mother was head housekeeper at this particular property 30 years ago so when opportunity arose for use to go on vacation to my home town I chose this hotel out of nostalgia but I'm so glad we did. Location was perfect, pool was amazing, room was clean, breakfast bar wasn't fancy but was well stocked and fresh. Definitely will be staying here again in the future!

With about a 5 minute drive to the beach it’s the most affordable option we could find but you REALLY sacrifice your comfort for it. Bathroom had mold. Carpet was disgusting I had to go buy slippers. Shower still had sand in it from previous guests. Beds were full size instead of queen. They never gave us enough towels though they knew now many people were staying in the room and to top it all off we found two baby cockroaches. I won’t be coming back.

We had a two room suite and it was pretty gross. It smelled musty, the carpets were so dirty, and the tub… we had to literally wear flip flops to shower. The lamp shades had something gross on them. The day we were leaving we were looking to make sure we had everything and my husband found underwear behind the mattress. Someone also urinated in the parking lot near our room and it smelled so bad. We only stayed because it was the first trip my adult daughter planned for all of us and I didn’t want her feel bad. Had it just been my husband and I we would have left. We will spend extra next time to stay somewhere decent.

This place is really below par. Borderline unsat. Stayed at one of the so-called Suites. A room with double beds and another room attached with double beds and a full kitchen area. There are holes in the carpet flooring, wallpaper peeling, and tiles missing in the bathroom. The tv cable cord for the attached room runs from the tv to the cable outlet in the wall. However, the whole cord is on the floor that goes under the door, and we shut to close the room. You have to kick the cord out of the way first. Two lights in the kitchen area, one does not work, low lighting at night. The place has an overall dirty feel to it. The mattresses are like really soft, with no firmness at all. You just sink into them. In the attached room, part of the rug has detached from the wall and is all curled up. Staff is friendly, though, and the outdoor pool area is decent. Roof over our heads but not worth the money we paid for staying 3 nights. Especially because the rates went up for the weekend. Charging more for a weekend than a regular day, same room and atmosphere. Would not recommend it unless you had no other choice.

The sheets were stained brown, there was dirt caked on the bathroom floor and baseboards, and the carpet felt sticky. I asked for another room, but it was only 10% better. As a precaution, we decided to skip the free breakfast. The desk clerk was very nice, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place.

The room was what you would expect for a budget price the location was easy and convenient. The best part was the service. The girl named Alycia behind the counter was friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic. Very pleasant.
