Rodeway Inn - Hotel in Shippensburg - 10 Hershey Rd, USA

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL!!!! Roach infested! I mean "VERY INFESTED".... Dirty sheets and towels! Non-Smoking room had smoke smell. Motel clerk would not change my room. Microwave was horribly dirty inside! No amenities!!!! Slept in my clothes to avoid touching the sheets. The &-Eleven clerk next door said a lot of drug traffic and was raided recently! I'm shocked Choice Hotels has this listed under their umbrella of hotel choices... This is a true a factual review! DO NOT!!!!!

The room was filthy, the fridge had mold, the bedding had stains and random hairs. Took Clorox wipes to any touchable surface but there was some random brown goo on the floor by the fridge I didn't dare touch. One of the bath towels was so dirty looking that I questioned the last time it was washed. If I wasn't exhausted from a 9 hour drive, we would have left. Luckily it was only a stop in for one night on a long drive home.

Positive: The location Negative: It is not kept up on the outside or inside. Basically section 8 housing look. The person checking us in was unprofessional and an embarrassment to Rodeway and Choice Hotels. She clearly lived there and we were an inconvenience. There were zero amenities.

This hotel was awful, window was cracked and broken. Bathroom mirror was cracked. Front desk staff unfriendly and curt. Requested refund from manager after calling a dozen times and he denied me a refund. Poorly run hotel and business and customer service skills are non existent

Positive: Location Negative: The floors are always dirty, musty smell, I¿ve also rented one night and checked out the next morning, only to return later that evening and they didn¿t even clean the room. They just gave me clean towels and wash clothes. The trash hadn¿t been taken out. Negative: ""

Great place to sleep and shower . Amazing price. I will stay her again.

The worst place that we have stayed in a long time..... we will not return... Upon check-in we were greeted by the owner's wife at least that is what we think. She could not speak very good English and I had to ask her a number of times to repeat herself. We checked into the room and it seemed alright, no bugs or critters running around. Lobby was so run down and dingy (nothing like the pictures show), no snack machines, no complimentary breakfast as the pictures show, ice machine is very outdated ~~~~ but still worked. We were told when calling for a room that they were within walking distance to the casino, what a joke, no way was it within walking distance.... The towels were paper thin, like something from years ago. I did go over and ask for two sets of towels upon arrival and she gave me two towels, no wash clothes. Towels that she gave me were better. No bath rug for the floor, no tissues. The mattress was outdated and the springs were horrible. Pillows were doable. My husband said we better just sleep on top of the sheets and keep our clothes on ~~~ so that is what we did. My husband turned the heat on ~~~ it worked but OMG the noise that it made when kicking on was terrible. So before going to bed he turned it off. Next morning after getting my shower ~~~ great water pressure ~~~ the one plus... I went to dry my hair and no hair dryer... I went to the front desk and rang the bell and eventually a guy come out from the back and I asked for a hair dryer and he said okay, finally his wife came out and said we have no hair dryers ~~~ I said to her how am I suppose to dry my hair ~~~ her response was I don't dry mine. I said this is unacceptable and left. Within minutes she came knocking on our door with a hairdryer that looked to be an antique ~~~ fortunately it worked. They had a junction box with multiple outlets hooked up to one receptacle, which served for the TV, refrigerator, cable box and light. And the BEST part of the whole ordeal was the SMOKE DETECTOR was in the dresser drawer with no batteries.... This place should be reported for multiply safety requirements. I do not know how they pass inspections

Needed a place to sleep and had gotten the brochure on hotel with discounts so I stopped. The room is fair. I checked for bugs and there weren’t any but the mattress are old and with stains. Room was clean but no hangers. Furniture is well worn. It was very inexpensive and for overnight it was doable.
