Rodeway Inn - Hotel in Kansas City - 1409 Admiral Blvd, USA

Stayed here for on night. It was all fine to me. staff was friendly, the room was decent. i didn't see any cockroaches or anything like in the comments. it was actually pretty clean. clean bed sheets, clean bathroom. Only part that concerned me was the area, looked kind of dangerous, but at least they have cameras. Overall i thought it was great.

If you're looking to be ripped of by "new americans" you've come to the right place. Here you'll find stain ridden bed lidded, smelly rooms, and a great view of the local xpress stop and watch your local drug addicts and their show from the balcony. On a serious note for those that "scare" easily, I'm surprised this location hasn't been red flagged by the city.

Stayed here about a week ago while on a road trip eastward since I wanted a place to stay that was close to Downtown KC. Since the price was the lowest out of the others that was close to Downtown I chose to stay here. The room was okay but nothing fancy. While the parking area was different than what im used to I did like that this is close enough to Downtown KC that I can either walk there or get a cheap uber ride there so I wouldn't have to worry about driving after drinking

In my singing voice: "It always feels like somebody's watching me." Just outside the hotel property are a number of homeless people at night which is uncomfortable because they just watch as I go into my room. In reality, it's way worse for them than the hotel patrons but I couldn't help being a bit paranoid at first. If I was on the 2nd floor it would have been fine, but there's not even a latch lock on the doors lol, the one time it'd be helpful. There are security cameras all around if that helps you, but the hotel is not for the faint of heart. The room was ok but very dirty on the floor and some stains on the blankets. Some positives would be Aldi grocery store across the street and the central location. I traveled to and from KC on Greyhound so the station within a 15 minute walk is awesome not to mention quick access on free buses or streetcar to downtown and Union Station. No breakfast.

I stayed for a night. I called the next morning to ask about an extra night. The guy that works the front desk answers and when I ask him about a second night he tells me for 90 (taxes included) I could stay a second night. I agree to the fee and go to the front desk and pay. He tells me it's gonna charge my card for $102 but the $12 dollars will come back to my card. I say ok and leave. I wait till around 10 p.m. and check my balance. No $12 dollars so I go to the front desk and ask what happened to my money. The new front (nighttime) desk clerk tells me the daytime front desk clerk tried but couldn't get me the discount. I say that's not my problem. I agreed to $90 bucks and I want my $12 dollars . The guy acts like he not understanding my language so I leave . Theft on a emerging scale !

The absolute worst motel I have ever stayed at. I can't believe they even have any business. It was absolutely atrocious there was an ungodly amount of live and dead cockroaches all over the room. Found some dead ones under our pillow. We had to leave the lights on to sleep to hopefully not wake up them crawling on us. I was absolutely disappointed and would not ever recommend

I’d give 0 stars if possible. So, we just wanted to stay for a quick night, didn’t mind a cheap place, I did not expect much, however it was probably one of my bottom three hotels EVER! Front desk guy was very nice, but our room was disgusting! Pube on the toilet seat, a half empty bottle of shampoo in the shower, a hair ball and fresh blood stain in the sheets…guy comes right away to change the sheets, puts new sheets on and says “oh, these aren’t clean either!!!!! And the mattress pad below was so stained! So while we got a third set of sheets, we did not sleep in them, we actually took on the expense to find another hotel! NEVER AGAIN!

Not even a 1 star but you have to pick. Place was disgusting!!! Filthy dirty! The whole building smelled terrible! None of the lights in the room worked, the whole building was hot! Hallways lined with blue lights. Trash dumpsters inside the building at the end of each hallway. Walls and floors filthy dirty. Refused to stay there. Asked for a refund and they flat refused. Asked to talk to a manger and the girl at the desk said there wasn’t one! Absolutely did not stay there!!!!!
