Short but steep climb. It is 1 mile (going up and coming down). There are sufficient foot trail markings to help. It was really dry and sunny today but the view at summit was worth it. We took about 25 mins one way. Can carry some food to have a mini picnic at top. Bug spray / equivalent may come in handy!
Not the best hike but a 4* because it’s quick and easy and has a great view!

Great mountain for hiking. The trail is rugged, and makes you climb up some steeper inclines. I preferred this much over other trails, which tend to just be flat dirt trails. It only took about 15-20 minutes to reach the top,and once we got there, the view was gorgeous. You can see over Raquette lake, and there are some great photo opportunities. The view is definitely worth the climb.
This is a short half mile hike up to the summit, but the climb is steep. My wife, 8 year old, 4 year old, and dog all did fine with it. The views of 4th Lake are beautiful and we'll worth the climb.
First hike of two mountains. I preferred this one over Bald because the ascent is steeper and shorter. Really got the family breathing heavily at our pace. We were visited by two Bald Eagles but pictures of birds aren't cellphone lens' specialty. Yet in effect it was an otherworldly experience and I'm certainly returning.
Great hike with a beautiful view. Distance isn’t very long but the vertical clime made it more challenging. Smaller crowd and larger parking area than Bald Mountain.
Awesome views from a fairly easy hike. Just a half-miler each way. The trail is a bit tough to follow some times, but there will probably be enough other people to keep you on track. Well worth the hike.
My husband, myself and our two young children (ages 3 & 2 months) just returned from an AMAZING stay at Nelsonâs Cottages. We stayed for 5 nights in the Ohio cottage. Everything was perfect. The cottage was clean and well stocked. The beds were com
My stay at The Marina Motel was a great experience! As a solo traveler, I felt perfectly safe and cared for. The place is immaculate inside and out, as other reviewers have stated. My room was clean and comfortable. Bed was perfect! They have been a
Really enjoyed the food and the service was very good even though they had limited staff. The Tamarack Bowl was one of the best breakfast items I have had in a very long time!
