Hosted a family dinner here. Nice people, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Sean the bartender is stellar. Most of the food was excellent. The chicken risotto was bland, however. Would be nice to have more options on the menu, like the fried chicken sandwich.

I stopped by Rocktown Kitchen while driving down to North Carolina. I was immediately greeted and served by Josey, who did a great job making sure that my needs were met and also engaged in a great conversation with me! Highly recommend this place for its quality food and service.

We had a great experience. Food was delicious. Had turkey, sourdough, Brie, cranberry aioli. My sister had steak, on Texas toast with shoestring fried onions. Beef and Veg soup was amazing. The Fish and Chips was nicely done. I would Highly recommend and tell friends.

An outstanding experience made supreme by our server, Josey. A very swank spot, right in the middle of everything. Service is quick, food hot and tasty, very pleasing to the eyes! While the sun was in our faces, our server immediately recognized the discomfort and immediately arranged the umbrella to protect us from the sun light, Josey made it happen. Look here up!! She’s the best!!!

Now, let's talk about the food. My choice was the meatloaf with a side of creamy mac and cheese and perfectly seasoned string beans. Let me tell you, this meatloaf was the best I've ever had. It was moist, flavorful, and simply melted in my mouth. The sides were equally impressive, with the mac and cheese being rich and comforting, and the string beans adding a delightful crunch to the plate. My wife opted for the mouthwatering ginger salmon, and she couldn't stop raving about it. The salmon was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The ginger added a delightful twist to the dish, making it an unforgettable culinary experience. What surprised us the most was that Rocktown Kitchen even prepared a special treat for our fur babies. They served up grilled chicken cut into bite-sized chunks, ensuring our furry companions could partake in the deliciousness too. Actually one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I made a reservation with no expectations, we’ve just seen the sign when we go to the farmers market and with my mom in town thought we would give it a try… Wow. Josey was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing, you can tell she is passionate about the restaurant and about the food. She was so helpful and bubbly and nice and made everything sound so good! The blackberry mocktail I had was delicious! Josey recommended a special Barbie drink they had to my mom and made sure to tell the bartender it was non alcoholic which changed the ingredients quite a bit but we still got a cute pink drink with cotton candy :) For food we ordered both specials: a bass dish and a ribeye dish, and I ordered the pork chop. SO good. My boyfriend noticed half way through that he was using a butter knife on the steak instead of the steak knife they gave him, so that should tell you the tenderness of the rib eye! Every bite of everything was delicious, which is so rare these days to love everything you try at a restaurant. For dessert we did the sticky toffee cake and then crème brûlée and they were also amazing. 10/10 would recommend. GREAT food GREAT service and cute atmosphere

Great food, excellent service in a warm and busy setting. They highly recommend reservations, and I agree based on our experience, but we arrived at about 8:00 pm and were able to get a table in less than five minutes. I would not show up earlier than that on a weekend without a reservation and expect to dine. The menu is focused on certain seasonal/regional components; expect a good selection but not an overwhelming array of options. We tried a couple of the daily specials, but the Saturday prime rib was sold out by the time I ordered (was kinda expected). Cocktails were made perfectly. Prices were maybe on the high end for the location (Harrisonburg) but worthy of the quality - we walked away with a $200 check for 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 desert, and 4 drinks, tax and tip included.

Absolutely the best place in town! The owners and staff are simply amazing and everything on the menu is excellent. This is a “must stop” place when in Harrisonburg. Josey our server was very attentive and made us feel right at home.
