Rockcliffe Mansion - Bed & breakfast in Hannibal - 1000 Bird St, USA

This is one of the best B&B you could ever stay at. The mansion itself is spectacular the hosts are awesome. When you arrive you are given a tour of the mansion by one of the very knowledgable owners. Shown to your room, treated to a wine and cheese party on the veranda. You actually have the run of the whole mansion. You can explore all by yourself all the beautiful pictures, furniture and artifacts throughout this beautiful mansion. In the morning in the formal dinning room you have a scrumptious breakfast to send you on your way. I would highly recommend a stay in this B&B. We will defiantly go back, there is so much to see and experience in this mansion.

My sister and I stayed at this B&B as part of a girls' weekend. Part of our stay included a tour of the mansion. The mansion is beautiful with much of the original furniture, fixtures and artwork still in the mansion. It was like stepping back in time in a very delightful way. Our hosts, Warren and Juan, were helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our cheese and wine in the early evening and our breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a good night's sleep in a quiet, comfortable room. I loved the rain shower. We hope to stay there again.

We booked one night at the Rockcliffe Mansion as we planned on having a "Mark Twain" experience in Hannibal. A tour on this historic home was included with our stay. We were amazed that the high quality antique furnishings were all original to the home and in fine shape. Juan had an interesting story about each room and about the wealthy family that lived there. Afterwards, we sat on the veranda with our hosts and had a delightful conversation over wine and cheese. The accommodations were comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully served on china dishes in the elegant dining room. It was fun to experience living in the grandeur of the day.

The Rockcliffe Mansion is gorgeous home and a must-stay. Our hosts Warren and Juan were very knowledgeable about the homes rich history and very friendly hosts. They even prepared a nice evening wine and cheese tasting and a beautiful breakfast the morning after. I had a wonderful stay in the Governesses' room which was very clean and had lots of gorgeous antique furniture inside. The bathroom included a beautiful rainfall shower head and was very clean. The care they've put into restoring this home shows. |I was able to take pictures inside and outside of the mansion. I ended up leaving my dress behind and they immediately called and reached out to me to return it, which I appreciated so much!

This historical mansion is a pleasant surprise! It was a great first visit to a B & B! I especially enjoyed their tour and the wine & cheese reception afterwards. Breakfast in the main dining room the next morning was well worth the stay! Since we live in Kansas City, this is only a 3.5 hour drive from home. We will once again make another trip as our first experience was really good!

Best view in town. |I recommend checking in right at 4 pm for a tour of the mansion including all of its history. After that at 5 or 5:30 they provide your choice of quality wine, cheeses, fruits, & nuts. That way, right when you check-in you get to know the Hosts & your place to stay. Very interesting to learn about the family that built it, how they designed it, and the history. The Breakfast is superb - quality & healthy food. Warren and Juan take care of everything.

We recently visited the beautiful Rockcliffe Mansion in historic Hannibal, Missouri. The Mansion is both a unique museum and exquisitely furnished B&B. ||The owners, Warren and Juan, are wonderful and attentive hosts. They are devoted to preserving Rockcliffe as the treasure it is, with all its character and adornments, as well as keeping its story alive and engaging.||We began our stay with a complimentary tour which helped us feel a part of this grand 30 room family residence with all its then-modern turn-of-the century conveniences and appointments. Following the tour we were treated to a relaxed wine and cheese reception with our hosts on the entrance portico situated high above most of Hannibal and with a view of the legendary Mississippi rolling along in the distance.||It was a special experience to overnight in the midst of the original and priceless furnishings and décor of this amazing place. In the evening we were allowed to further explore casually the main rooms of the Mansion, except those reserved for other quests. Our group ended up in a card game at the servants' dining table in the kitchen, surrounded by the most modern appliances and culinary features of its day. ||In the morning we enjoyed a delicious gourmet breakfast in the grand dining room prepared and served by our hosts. ||The Rockcliffe Mansion is a wonderful and intriguing destination. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and encourage others to come, see and experience this remarkable place.

Rockcliffe Mansion is stunning! Warren and Juan have done wonderful work toward restoring this property. The architecture, furnishings, and period decor are very interesting and very high quality. Food and service are excellent — warm, engaging, very knowledgeable. The restoration will probably continue for years. This property is a real treat for people interested in period decor, art, and architecture.
