Modest, family owned resort. Cabins are OK, but most need new furniture. Typically clean, but there are a couple reviews describing bed bugs, we never found any. If it's a busy weekend, the swim dock will be packed and the old, small slips will be full. Typically quite, but guests dont realize how far theiir voices carry and some can be rowdy and fowl mouthed when drunk. It's back in a cove off the main channel, so view is of privately owned homes. It's not a beautiful view of the lake. A variety of boats are available for rent, know how to operate a boat before renting and watch out for distracted boats coming from all directions. Best description, this is what you would have found at the lake 40 years ago, not necessarily bad, just now old.
Our family of 31 each got to spend the weekend full of activity and family time! Renting cabins was done with ease and don't forget the friendly staff. We brought in our own groceries and the resort provided everything else we needed. We're coming back!
Cool little spot very peaceful. They even have a little arcade. Cabins were very clean. All in all I would recommend for a weekend getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the lake. Rooms are charming, absolutely gives you lake cabin vibes when you walk in.
I have had nothing but good experiences while staying at Rock Harbor. It is a great family run business with a fun and comfortable atmosphere. I will always recommend this resort to people who want a great vacation.
We stayed here for bass fishing. It's the first resort we stayed at where our boat didn't get beat up to death as it's located back further in the cove. No wake cove! Located on 8MM. We would stay here again!
This is an amazing place to stay! Great staff, great rooms, easy access to all the goings on around the area. Awesome experience! Would recommend to anyone wanting a fun and accomodating place to hang out and have fun.
Yes, this isn’t the newest resort at the lake, some things are dated, but it still has a lot to offer. Room rates are much more reasonable than a lot of places. We stayed in one of the motel units, and it has been recently redecorated. The property is definitely very hilly, so if you are someone with a physical disability or challenge, this might prove to be an issue. However, that wasn’t the case for us. Good cardio. We also rented a boat from the resort, and the rates were the lowest we had ever seen at the lake. All of the staff we interacted with couldn’t have been nicer. Very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. A tip, bring your own bath towels. The ones in the rooms are very thin and small. Also, if you’re someone who’s bothered by morning sunlight, you might want to bring a blanket to put over the window. The curtains really don’t block the light. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place. We’ll be returning!

What a cool place at the lake to get amazing food. Non smoking backwoods cabin vibe! Nice variety of menu items for all. We had the pork chop last trip and last night the Wagyu beef double burger and fries. Phenomenal experience both times. Be sure
I stopped in for a mid-afternoon snack, and the battered onion rings were delicious! There is a spacious covered outdoor seating area with a nice view and a large patio-sized space heater. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable
The place is clean and nicely decorated. I sat in the large outdoor seating area, and I was there for a late lunch on a cool day, so there was plenty of open seating. There is a nice corn hole set up! The beef chili was thick and tasty, as were th
This hotel is perfect. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is well maintained. The staff is absolutely wonderful and very friendly. The pool looks awesome. We have stayed there twice and both times it was a delight. We stayed on the lake view side
By far the best pork tenderloin sandwich Iâve ever had! Ate inside the restaurant and was impressed by the level of cleanliness, bathrooms are sparkling as well! Cute, local restaurant with impeccable service and food to match! Looking forward to m
My only complaint was it was a bit chilly on the "heated" patio but after a delicious rum runner and smoked wings and delicious pork nachos I warmed up.
