The wi-fi adapter in my 7yo laptop would come and go. I googled it and did all the recommended steps with no effect. I found Robin on google maps and emailed him about my problem. He replied really fast and told me that the easiest way to fix it is to buy an external usb wi-fi adapter. I got myself a $14 tp-link adapter on Amazon, and it works great. I highly recommend Robin as an honest guy with good expertise.

I originally found Robin Prior Tech Support on NextDoor through direct comments by the community. I chose him because of the multiple and stellar reviews I found on NextDoor. And I am so happy with my choice. What a wonderful experience working with Robin!! I had several really complicated and intractable problems/issues with iTunes for Windows and iPods and the synchronization and desynchronization of various music tracks and Podcasts and simplified the way I am ripping tracks from my CDs to add to my iTunes collection. These issues were on various platforms and devices. His extremely wide knowledge of platforms, networking, hardware, software, really anything computer-related was amazing. I felt supremely confident in his hands. He helped me all the way through the repairs and changes he made and explained everything he was doing so I really learned a lot from him. Excellent communicator. He also guided me in deciding whether to repair or replace my printer and helped me select a new All-in-one Printer/Scanner/Copier and made sure I had the extra cables necessary for the installation and then happily delivered the new printer up my 2 flights of stairs with a smile on his face, at no extra charge!. He also helped me sort out some email issues. (He would be a great computer tech teacher if he wanted a second job.) My search for excellence in computer help has ended with Robin. I'm a forever customer.

Robin is great - very knowledgeable and efficient. He managed to save all the documents on my crashed hard drive when others couldn't. He was extremely helpful in setting up my new computer, as well as my husband's. Very careful in providing explanations for a non-techie and is available for any follow-up questions.

Highly recommend taking your computer/tech issues to Robin. It was easy to reach him and arrange a time to bring in my 8 year-old lap top. Robin was very nice and helped me understand the updates needed, working efficiently and staying in communication about progress made. The service was well priced and my lap top is back to work! Thank you Robin! I'll definitely be returning if other issues arise.

Robin is exactly the kind of IT person I have been looking for. He is extremely trustworthy, hard working, honest and a pleasure to deal with. I had an extremely difficult issue with my Outlook/comcast emails, and it took several very long attempts to fix it in conjunction with the Microsoft technical support. Robin was there and committed until it was fixed. He spent many hours on the phone with Microsoft over several days, working into the evening and early in the morning, and in the end he counted the number of emails in each of my folders and made sure that they were all there before he would sign off on the project. He was absolutely amazing. When it came time to charge me, he charged me a flat fee - which amounted to MUCH less that what it would have costed if he had charged me by the hour. The whole experience made me feel like this is the guy I want to handle all of my IT and Tech support needs. I HIGHLY recommend him!

These guys have saved me twice now, and I was so impressed by their work I made a Yelp profile just to say how grateful I am. They did a beautiful job on a broken hinge for my old and beloved XPS15, so when the hard drive starting making the chirp of death last week, I brought it straight to them. Despite the total mechanical failure, they had it back to me with a brand new HDD, running like nothing had even happened, in less than 24 hours.

I contacted Robin regarding an external hard drive that I had accidentally wiped clean and he was very helpful and knowledgable in answering all my questions. Very polite, very professional, and asked all the right questions to help me to figure out what would be the best course of action to try to recover my data from my hard drive.

I called and had Robin come to my home awhile back to "assist me" with a computer issue. He showed up, initially smelled of alcohol, but he was local and I was desperate for help, so I let him proceed. I let him work on my machine for 2-hours, afterwards he said it was done and that whatever issue I had was rectified. It seemed accurate, so I paid. Days later the issue returned, and I asked for a follow-up from him as he said he would perform. He refused this, blamed me for the issue, and then hung up the phone. Later, I had another provider come and check his work, and they found a keylogger, that they claim was installed on the day of his arrival. Conclusion: despite the reviews, this guy is a shady pos and you should avoid at all costs. He's stealing people's information behind their back. --Edit-- Now he has the audacity to say I am a fake reviewer. This guy is a piece of work. Don't be fooled people, he may of been good at some point, he isn't now. The only reason why this is my only review is because he was that bad.
