Robin Hood Motel - Featured Reviews (120)
I made reservations Jan 2024, paid one night deposit, $338. Manager “King” called 3 days before arrival and told me the rate was now $450 a night. Had been there before, said that is high and not price on website. He said, ok $400. Agreed, told him we were looking forward to staying there, as we had a few years back. Arrived at motel the pool, not open, the screened back area full of box springs. King said new owners. Indicated he was owner. I said that it was not acceptable I wanted to cancel. He said if I wanted a refund He would see me in court. I canceled, spoke with real owner he said he would be fair. He was not, no refund for any of the 3 nights. Do not stay here run down and rip off. Found hotel in town way nicer with pool and clean, oh and less expensive!
We stopped here for a night on our way to Colorado. Honestly one of the best hotels we've stayed in! Everything is so vintage, I loved it. But it was also CLEAN, as many other reviews have mentioned! I mena, spotless. Always a priority when staying in any hotel! My boys loved the heated pool, too. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Raton! (Also, we had breakfast down the street at the Oasis Restaurant, a diner attached to another vintage motel. It was great!)
Disappointing Stay Despite Convenient Location We recently stayed at this hotel for a concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). While the location was convenient, it was unfortunately the only positive aspect of our stay. Upon check-in, we were met with an unfriendly and defensive attitude from the staff, who informed us of an unexpected $20 fee. This additional fee pushed the total cost into the range of higher-quality accommodations nearby. We paid in cash and headed to our room, only to be immediately greeted by the sight of the filth—most especially the bedding on both beds. The bathroom was far from clean, with smears of an unknown substance on the walls. Additionally, the TV in the room did not work. When we reported this to the manager, he accompanied us back to the room to try and fix it. After failing to get the TV to work, he claimed the previous guest had broken it and returned with a new TV that he said the owner had just purchased for $20. We assisted him in setting it up, but the Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect, rendering the Roku TV useless. Despite his attempts, the manager left without resolving the issue, and we were left to troubleshoot it ourselves. We eventually got it working, but the manager never checked back with us. Furthermore, the pool area was unusable because it was completely covered. We spent some time outside on the chairs provided, but the overall experience was not relaxing. Inside, the walls were thin, and the door had a noticeable gap, which compromised our privacy and security. Upon checkout, we requested a refund of the $20 fee due to the issues we encountered with the TV, pool, and bedding condition. Instead of understanding, we were verbally assaulted and accused of calling the manager a liar. In summary, I would advise future guests to save themselves the disappointment and spend an extra $20 per night for a much cleaner and more accommodating stay elsewhere. This hotel does not meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and hospitality.
Blankets were stained, beds sucked, bathroom was tiny. Pool was not open. Would not recommend to anyone. I gave it a 1 star because I couldn't give it any lower.
You may see in my profile that I never leave a bad review but Someone told me that they were renovating so I thought it might be alright so I paid $ 80.00 and it was worth maybe 40 but for around 20 more I was able to stay in a beautiful 🤩 resort with a jacuzzi in the room and everything it was it is very nice. In comparison well there is no comparison. Maybe do some research 🧐 I was in a hurry so my bad but will not ever return.
Positive: Friendly staff and nice outdoor spaces. If you're in a pinch it's a clean place to stay for the night ten minutes away from the city center. Negative: Room did not meet my expectations for the price. Charged way too much for a room that looked unfinished. The top sheet had a strange texture and heavy perfumed scent, the room did not contain a single trashcan, and the light was extremely dim. Negative: ""
Place was terrible. $20 cleaning fee for a room that's not clean! No pool. Sad staff and service . Black mold all over the shower curtain! Disgusting! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost! 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Stay away! The owner wanted cash for my reservation so I was forced to go to a booking agency. Cash means there is not accountability to the government! The rooms smelled, bed was sunken in and the air conditioner was so loud that I only stayed 2 hours and had to go to another hotel. They refused to refund me the 8 days that I didn't stay. It's a flee bag motel stay away!!!
Piper Boutique is a great store for casual or dressy clothes. They also carry very unique jewelry for any occasion! I bought two sundresses there shortly after they relocated to a better location on Broadway. Their prices are very reasonable and
