This may be an out of the way place, but if your passing by Cozad, NE on I-80, be sure to put aside an hour of time to check it out! It is a wonderful mix of a historical restored boarding house that belonged to Robert Henri's father (Cozad) and a very nice art gallery that exhibits a good selection of Robert Henri's original oil paintings and sketches. A very knowledgeable volunteer or the museum director himself will give you a thorough tour of the premises and all the interesting history. Very well done!
Outstanding little Museum. More than what you bargained for. $5 entry is a pittance compared to what you get with this tour. I've never been so satisfied with a small town Museum tour. Lot of great history and original artifacts. Plan to stay at least 2 hours.
We have driven past this town several times a year for over a decade and I always wish I had time to stop. We made time today and it was so great! Cute little art gallery and museum. They are adding more rooms currently. The young intern (Jess I believe) from Ireland that gave the tour was great! She was very knowledgeable, gave us easy tips on how to appreciate and recognize different types of art. Jess was very fun and really involved my 11 year old in the tour getting his opinion and encouraging him on his art journey. At the same time I was able to learn a lot from her that I have never learned at other art galleries. Another staff member stayed with my mother in law while we toured the house and she had a great conversation with her!
Incredible museum, filled with knowledgeable people who are excited to share the history of the Cozad family and Robert Henri
We saw a little sign on the interstate and decided to visit this jewel of a museum, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we saw and got the information that and took in the fine art, didn't expect to find such a interesting place in a small town, bravo to the staff!
Surprising to find an art collection of this quality in a small town. Very impressive! The guide/docent really brought the art works and the background stories to life. Fascinating characters! Very much worth a visit, makes the day of travel special if you're going through.
We loved our Robert Henri's experience! Our guide, Jake, was extremely knowledgeable. The women that were also working there were very helpful and friendly!
Loved this place, as a fan of Henri's The Art Spirit; was fascinated to learn something more about the secret buried in his family's past. The Museum could use an infusion of cash; they've created a great place on a shoestring budget. Be sure not to miss the collection of Henri's work.
The breakfast was eggs, sausage w/biscuits & sausage. Plus, the standard waffles and juice, cereal & yogurt. The room is a king bed with the full kitchen. I loved the door to the bedroom so there was more privacy. It was very quiet. You couldn't hear
Found this awesome place on our way back from a trip. Didn't dissapoint! The food was great and it was ready in 10 minutes. Pictures show already half eaten food. ð Perfectly cooked bacon, toast, and fries. You'd be suprised how many places mess t
Has almost everything you could need for a small town grocery store. The employees are always helpful, and they even will remember your name. Would recommend to everyone.
The best Mexican food Iâve ever tried. The taste, quality and portion was AWESOME! Maria our server went above and beyond! I would definitely come back to this cozy and amazing place if I had the chance! The food was excellently authentic and the
