My CPU died so I sought the advice of a computer-savvy friend. He suggested taking it to Roa Tech, a company he himself had used and described to me as “honest and trustworthy.” That was enough to convince me to give them a try, despite living on the other side of town. They were able to very quickly diagnose the problem (in about an hour I think it was) and then, with my go-ahead, proceeded to repair it in less than a day. Kudos to them! I would definitely use them again, if the need arose. My only suggestion would be to call first and confirm their hours.

Brought in two machines for a fix-up; one needed a battery replacement and the other was found to only need a new charger (thanks for your honesty and not making any unnecessary repairs!). I had an issue with the internal WiFi/Bluetooth PCI card in my laptop. Two antennas connect via a very small snap on coax connector and one had broken off the card. The card was not too difficult to replace but the connector had broken off in the antenna and was impossible to remove. RaoTech provided me with a couple of options at different price points. I was very happy with the substitute internal antenna they installed. Quick work, reasonable price. Friendly service. I'd use them again, for sure.

My laptop suddenly and unexpectedly crashed and I was concerned about taking it to the right spot for repair. My preference is to use small, local businesses. After speaking with the folks at Roa Tech, I had the confidence that they would do a good, solid job. I am happy to report that everything went well, and my laptop was back up and running quickly and on budget. If I need more tech services, I will definitely continue to use Roa Tech.

Honest, knowledgeable, QUICK and fair priced. Also, I appreciated that they wore a mask and did social distancing since we’re in the middle of a pandemic. My computer that I depend on for work got hit with a bad virus recently. I tried everything I could to fix it on my own, using online suggestions. I wish I had known about these guys and brought it to them first. These guys were able to help me quickly and were very responsive with all their communication. They also gave me a very reasonable price. They met me at my convenience and explained everything thoroughly to me. They have been in business for a while but recently opened up a brick and mortar place right in the heart of Old Ellicott City just weeks before the quarantine hit. The location is really, really cute. I had no problems finding parking. Also, they are bilingual. They are a great business to support. I’d MUCH rather support a small business In our community that I can trust than going to a big box store whose reputation is not on the line. I highly recommend these guys. Also, they sell customized computers but I really appreciate that they were so knowledgeable about my computer’s issues. When I eventually upgrade my computer I will get it from these guys.
