Roami at Sunny Isles - Featured Reviews (17)
Not represented well in the photos, which make it look like a luxury unit. It is not. It's comfortable enough, but a bit dingy (needs painting & and some hooks in the bathroom at the least) We didn't have enough towels for the pool for the number of guests, and though we requested them, they never came😬. I wouldnt choose this again
Stayed at a Roami apartment in Sunny Isles Beach, FL between Christmas and New Year. It was an excellent location, walking distance to the beach, supermarket, church, library and in a nice neighborhood. The quality of the apartment is the reason for 2 stars. It did not appear that any maintenance had been done since the building was constructed or last rehabed. The secure parking garage was not - the gate was never closed in the 6 days we were there. Not an issue given the neighborhood, but just an indication of the accommodations not quite being at the same level as what was advertised. The interior stairwell was dirty, with bits of trash. The apartment had been swept clean. The kitchen had not been well cleaned in some time. Greasy handles on the stove and cupboards, dirty streaks down the refrigerator door, and cigarette burn holes on the kitchen table. There were marks on the walls and doors throughout the apartment. The smaller bathroom had a tub shower with a cheap plastic compression type curtain rod. The original shower enclosure had been removed - the holes where it was mounted were visible. The plastic shower curtain fell with the first shower. On Christmas Eve their maintenance person replaced it, only to have it fall with the next attempt at taking a shower. I then installed it correctly, and it remained in place for the duration. There was a balcony, but the sliding door providing access was extremely difficult to open from the inside and impossible to move from the outside. The light socket on the balcony was also broken. Just a general lack of upkeep. Roami gave us a refund that was equal to twice the cleaning fee, which was 10% of the total cost of the stay. A token amount given the disappointing condition of the accommodations. This stay was booked through Marriott-Bonvoy which gave us an extra 1000 points (equal to $8)
We are currently staying here , for a total of 3 weeks.
The size of the two bedroom is good , although it is very dated.
Cracked tiles , showers that have silicone detaching from the cracks etc.
the dryer has to be run twice or three to get your clothes dry. The stove barely works , boiling the kettle takes forever. To fry couple eggs takes an extreme long time. The soap pumps at the kitchen don’t work at all . The floor was very dirty and slippery when we moved in , I first thought it was me being picky but then I saw other guests buy and bring mops in , as well as saw the tool kit
the cleaning lady was using - it did not include a wet mop . She likely sprays the floor with something and then wipes with one of those wide flat blue dry mop. Overall the decor is nice , location is good , just dirty and frustrated with the appliances. Also the patio door is so old that it’s impossible to slide , making it impossible to use the balcony
Superb customer service and our 3 bedroom crib was very big and stylish. Nice heated pool. When comparing to average USA housing this is above average. Sunny Isles is quiet high-income neighbourhood with nice beaches. Not too many restaurants.
I don't typically leave reviews but felt it necessary after
my stay. Booked this property with my family for a 4 night stay to visit the beaches. There was 12 of us so the two 2 BR units worked well. Less than 12 hours after checking in, the AC in one of our units stopped working (on a 95 degree day!) and ceiling flooding began in the master BR and bath. I contacted the service line immediately to report the problems, around 10 am. They assured me that it would be taken care of ASAP so my family and I headed to the beach to avoid the hot unit. Around 3 pm, I called again and was told that this was a priority for management and was getting resolved. Called again around 6 pm and received the same response. Around 10 pm, after not receiving any word of completion, I called AGAIN and was told that maintenance would not be able to fix the issue that day. This was after multiple calls from me and being led to believe the issue would be fixed while we were at the beach. The operator offered to relocate my family and I to other properties 30 minutes away- not considering the fact that it was after 10 pm and I was accompanied by small children. After some back and forth, she finally offered to put us in another unit on the property. The other unit was very dingy and worn. From the bedding to stains on the walls. Our original unit also had an issue with the TVs not working on the first day. Overall, I was very disappointed not only with the AC and leaking issues, but the lack of communication from property managers and cleanliness issues. I still haven't received confirmation for the partial refund that was offered.

Lula Kebab Beef is what did it for me. It's a Sesame-breaded Cutlet stuffed with homemade ground beef infused with cheese. Of course you need this meal to be served with the highest regards from Katarina! Thank you and we will be back for more ð
