The ac wasn't really blowing, so it was really hot at night. We were miserable. The first night was the worst because before we got there, the ac was turned off. It was almost 90° in our room. The following day, we heard other guests complaining about the Ac being turned off in the middle of the night. The room itself wasn't that bad. The pillows are paper thin, and the bed was rock hard. I do not recommend this hotel if you are planning on staying for multiple days.
I stayed last week and plan to book again, its a clean, quiet and cozy space, the queen room is spacious and everything works great. Internet wasnt an issue and enjoyed my stay.
We stayed here 4 nights. The room keys stopped working every single day, even when we kept them away from our wallets and phones. We had to drive from our room back over to the main office every day and have them reprogram our room keys. They said, “oh yeah, this has been happening a lot.”
Staff greets you with awesome Hospitality, rooms are clean and comfortable. Lesly the manager goes above and beyond with customer service and making sure you’re happy and at ease. Always clean and Comfortable thank you!!
BLUF: Still servicing rooms like COVID is still a pandemic, with cleaning limited to once/weekly. When they do clean, they do not do a good job as evidenced by dust, debris, and stains leftover on all surfaces from the previous day.
Worse, when maintenance decided to randomly install new shower gel holders, they left the piles of dust on the shower floor. House cleaning then still failed to remove debris.
Finally, you cannot control the thermostat. These repurposed barracks rooms, converted to a “hotel room,” have some rooms to hot and some to cold. They do at least include a small space heater.
If not for the free breakfast (chow hall supply-chain food), that is at least well prepared, this would be a 1-star review. Thankfully, the free breakfast helps offset the cheap $22 Gov’t Meal Rate.
29 Palms is near and dear to every Marine. Roadrunner provided a comfortable stay while training here.
Terrific room! Lots of space. Full-size fridge.
They don't honor the do not disturb sign despite me laying in the bed, which is really uncomfortable being a female and having a male randomly open your door. Their breakfast gave me food sickness from their eggs. The room is a glorified barracks room that was converted with little effort. Double sinks with only one mirror, don't know why there isn't two. The floors are disgusting, especially in the shower. I have asked them to mop multiple times and from what I can tell they drag a wet mop through without actually scrubbing so the floors remain sticky and dirty. The toliet paper roller always breaks so I have to place the toliet paper on top so that the wall holder wont break. There in no cable and the wifi disconnects every couple hours. When I had requested to move to a room in a different building with nicer couches and amenities they said they wouldn't allow the switch or hold a room for me. Most of the towels and sheets they give are stained and then they try and charge you even though that's how they were delivered. The bedroom space had a larger TV and was easier to connect with my laptop so I moved a chair from the other room to the bedroom and was told to put it back immediately or I would be fined. In conclusion, the rooms lack any comfort. The service does not care about you or respect you. The location.. well it's 29 palms, what can you expect.
The place looks brand new. Huge rooms with comfortable bed and very nice bathrooms, great water pressure and hot water. The breakfast was ample and very good. Right across from the gas station and mini mart. Perfect place to stay for a visit to J
Nothing fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. Walking distance to a Starbucks and the Jelly Donut (iykyk)
Staff is super nice. Rooms have a mini fridge and a microwave. Parking is literally steps from your room. Perfect place to return to after hiki
Wife and I have stayed here half a dozen times over the years. It's our favorite location in the Joshua Tree area, and far surpasses any experiences we have had in the Joshua Tree and 29 Palms areas. The proximity to the East entrance of the park mak
Great place to camp for climbers. The Rangers are real sticklers about site reservations and ticketing people but the area IA beautiful. The chasm of doom at night is so fun and watching the sun set from the space station is an experience like no oth
Wonderful experience! Ribeye was cooked to perfection, and my wife's Caesar salad was delicious as well (I stole some ð). It was our anniversary, so they did a complementary toast and dessert. We will definitely be back, if you're ever in 29 Pa
Great hike, my wife and i were out there at sun up....as the sun came up the shadows and lite wer neat to see. It was cold when we first got there, but once we got moving we warmed up quite a bit.
Joshua tree is an amazing place and we are already p
We had a tour today. Thanks to the Ranger and the Caretakers, it was delightful. The simple life is not what it sounds like, Mr Keys and his family worked hard! It's good to see life in the old west.
