This hotel is in the perfect location, within walking distance from the train station and right in the middle of a ton of amazing restaurants/drinking establishments and shopping. The beach is not far and neither is downtown. The room we stayed in was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean, aesthetic and worked for our 2 day stay. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. You really can't beat the value, either. Highly recommend!
Positive: The staff was very accommodating and extremely customer service oriented. Liked the tea and coffee bar with apples and tangerines. Great location for walking everywhere in the Funk Zone. Negative: No elevator. Parking pricey. Room and bathroom very tiny. Two windows but one looked at the wall of the building next door and the other was frosted. The a/c did not work. No fridge. No place for suitcases in room or personal items in bathroom.
Lovely refurbished older property, with friendly staff in a nice location. Dog friendly, with a short walk to their facility. Rooms were bright and clean with very good bathroom facilities. For those traveling on Amtrak, the station is a short walk from the hotel. There are also many restaurants in a short walking distance.
Smaller rooms but still comfortable and for the price it felt like a good deal. Close to funk zone and many bars and restaurants. Had an upstairs outdoor patio area on both sides that were nice for sitting and chatting.
If you’re looking for a great place to stay right in the center of all the action look no further! The Riviera Beach House is the one! It’s a small boutique style hotel that has been updated recently and looks fabulous! From the time we made our reservation Jenny has made our stay very comfortable! We will definitely be back soon and arrive via Amtrak. ( The train station is right next door!). One thing worth mentioning….. they offer complementary beach cruiser bicycles! Every thing is so close you don’t need your car!
Easy Walking distance to the beach, and close to the action of the Funk Zone area. Very friendly hotel staff, and clean/comfortable rooms. Nice little extras like free bike to use, and a full complimentary coffee bar with all the flavors and syrups to make your own creation. Definitely would go back again.
The Riviera Beach House is a lovely boutique hotel. The staff is excellent & helpful, June at the front desk is wonderful! The rooms are small but well appointed, the room with the small patio is perfect! The beds & bedding are sumptuous & you will sleep soundly, the hotel is very quiet considering the bustling location. The location is fantastic & the bonus of Santo Mezcal being the room service restaurant cannot be topped!
Beware- this is not a standard size hotel room. We were in room 216. You are literally renting a bed with about a foot of space on either side of it. The bathroom is tiny. You pull a piece of glass closed to separate the toilet and 2x2 stand up shower. No curb so water goes everywhere. Have to lay down towels to act as curb. Last but not least, the AC unit had visible mold growing in it.
