Great spot on the River! Update: 11/07/2023 Record breaking 80° River Day!

Gorgeous spot to get in the river. The water isn't crystal clear but its pretty none the less.

We've been to a number of rivers this summer and this is by far our favorite. Great location for kids and having a picnic but also a family favorite when it comes to kayaking. It is always very clean too!

Always a good place for a swim, kayak trip, or some decent fishing. Always changes a little during winter and early spring as the river floods. Upstream a little is usually too shallow for much other than creek exploring, but downstream to the dam is a decent small kayak trip with kids, and usually decent fishing amongst the few little holes and riffles you find. If the water is up enough, take the Lover's Lane loop instead of the main channel and enjoy the sights and some backwoods fishing holes.

I have lived here my whole life and never knew about this place untile today it's truly amazing a great place for families with kids the water was great it had shallow spot for kids deeper spots for adults . I live less than a mile away it will be my new go to place

Riverside Inn no longer remains on this site.. I did visit the Inn back in 2002 and it was pretty unique.. the ladies restroom was in a magazine back then, and considered very elaborate inbthe day..
