Nestled about 1500 feet and right along the Cheoah River in Robbinsville NC, is this very relaxing and well-appointed Treehouse Resort that met our expectations of a quiet and enjoyable quick getaway. Our unit, the Yellow Pine, was situated right above the running creek where if you wanted, you could build a fire and sit around and enjoy the sounds of running water and nature all around you.|The unit itself was very clean and cozy, with a very nice king-size bed that made sleeping very relaxing. A microwave and refrigerator were provided along with an electric fireplace that kept us warm, even at 22 degrees in the early morning. It is in the mountains, after all. A carport right under the treehouse made for easy access to the room and kept our car out of the elements. |Entry to this well-maintained resort and access to the room was easy and well documented in the reservation email that we received prior to our arrival. The owners of the resort certainly pay a lot of attention to detail in the appointments, with a large bathroom and shower area, many towels, and hand and bath soaps. In the small microwave area, ground coffee, coffee maker, creamers, etc were provided for our use. The scenery around the area is quite exceptional as we drove around and across the mountains to get to Helen GA for the day.|Overall, lots of kudos to the owners. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone wishing to enjoy a quiet stay with much to do outdoors, or just sit on the deck and enjoy the expanse of nature all around you. We will most definitely be back for a longer stay. Five stars all around.||PS – Robbinsville is a great little town with all the basic shopping (supermarkets, pharmacies, etc.) and I would highly recommend Lynn’s Place for great southern homecooked food – we ate there twice for dinner!!!|||

My son and I stayed overnight so we could ride our motorcycles all around the area. We brought them with a truck and trailer, which aren't allowed to park at the treehouses due to the narrow, winding driveways. However, they have a large open area once you enter the property where we offloaded our bikes, parked the truck and trailer there, and took our bikes to the treehouse. The settings are fantastic, set in the woods with a stream running through. It's only a block or so off the main road, yet it feels like you're miles up into the mountains. Great venue, great location, and greatly recommend!

My stay at Rivers Edge Treehouses was a 5-star experience in every sense. Excellent hospitality, very clean, comfortable beds... the treehouses were even decorated for Christmas which was such a nice and festive touch. The owner went above and beyond to help us when we had car trouble during our stay. The staff and stay exceeded our expectations in every way possible and I can't wait to return for another awesome stay! We will back!

The cabins are adorable! Very nice, clean, and comfortable. The beds are AMAZING! I wish the cabins were a little further in the woods, but would definitely recommend to others and will be back soon!

I came to drive the fun roads in the area, and this was the perfect base. The cabins are as nice as they look in the pictures, and are clearly designed for sports car and bike enthusiasts. They offer sheltered parking, and even stuff to wash your vehicle if you want.||The checking process is effortless, they just send you a code.||The property itself is charming, with nice lighting and a beautiful area down by the river.||I could not recommend it more highly, and will definitely stay here again when I return.||Note also that though some might tell you to stay north of TOTD, I found this the perfect base. I left at around 7am on a weekday, and was able to drive TOTD starting around 7:30am with zero traffic. ||

I booked a unit here for one night due to it's proximity to the Cherohala skyway. Only unit 6 was available, and it only has one bed, but it has a futon. I called about using the futon and they said no problem, put it in the reservation notes. We arrived after business hours and the futon was not made up and no linens for it anywhere. The website and directions both say an electric fireplace is available but there was none, and the wall unit was very dusty. Unit 6 is advertised as ADA compliant but the lift was broken, so thank goodness we didn't need it. Single serve coffee packet was open but there were fresh grounds in a separate jar. Bed was comfortable and access convenient, especially after hours. Small lot for 6 units.

If you are driving or riding in the area, these cabins are just perfect. They are as nice as they look in the pictures. The interior of the room is a beautiful wood (mine was poplar). The location is perfect for all the nearby roads, including TOTD. They offer covered parking, and even offer car washing supplies if you want them. The property itself is charming, with cute lighting and a beautiful spot down by the river. Checkin is effortless, they just give you a code. Overall, I highly recommend it and would return.

New owners are awesome. We were stuck on Mars Hill with no way to buy groceries for the family, (icy roads, snowed in) and after calling around we discovered Wolf Creek Market. They went beyond the call of duty and brought groceries from their market
