We went for a trail ride and had an amazing time! Everyone at the ranch was so welcoming. Francesca, our ride leader, was so genuinely kind, informative and fun! She somehow managed to match my friends and I with horses that matches not only out abilities and experience, but our personalities too! I couldn’t recommend this place any more highly. I hope to come back someday if we are traveling here again!

My wife and I visited River's Edge for an hour of horseback riding on a warm Monday in June. We couldn't have had a better guide than Kathy. She is passionate about sharing her love for horses. My wife and I are both novices, but had no trouble. Kathy's clear and relaxed instructions gave us confidence in her and the horses. We rode across the field and through the woods to a picturesque spot on the Shenandoah River. We were not rushed in the least. It was a perfect outing.

We chose to get married at River's Bend Ranch this June, and we could not be happier with the whole experience. The venue is exactly what we were looking for with it's beautiful natural setting and rustic feel. We held the ceremony outside with the Shenandoah Mountains as the backdrop. The reception was in the Pavilion, which also looks out on an amazing view of the mountains. They pretty much had all of the basics we needed: the arch, chairs, and reception tables, and the Pavilion is already nicley lit. They were very easy to communicate with about all the details leading up to our wedding, and were accomodating for our unique vision. We mostly coordinated with Caroline, and she always extremely kind and helpful. One of the main reasons we chose this venue is that they also have several buildings with lodging on the ranch. We were able to have our close friends and family stay on site, and have our rehearsal dinner there, so that we could spend more quality time with them all. All of our friends who stayed at the ranch have told us they had a great time, and some of them even took advantage of the trail rides that River's Bend Ranch leads! If you are looking for a mostly DIY venue in Virginia with a country vibe and beautiful scenery, I would highly recommend River's Bend Ranch!

We LOVED our experience with River's Bend Ranch! We are a family of 4 (kids aged 9 & 12), and we tend to go on trail rides during our vacations, because our daughter is obsessed with horses. We can say, without hesitation, River's Bend Ranch is hands down the BEST horse trail ride experience we have ever had! From Caroline's warm welcome, to Ben's calm demeanor, to the well trained horses and gorgeous views... our trail ride with River's Bend Ranch was our family's favorite experience we had while camping in the Shenandoah area. River’s bend ranch was such a great experience! I found a Groupon deal and I went ahead and bought it! I was nice to just get out of the norm! The horses were beautiful and well trained! The tour guides were amazing! Definitely worth the trip! Coming back soon!

I did the horse back ride with Francesca as my guide! 10/10 went with my mom she had an amazing time as did I! Francesca was great and engaging! (Probably deserves a raise! ;))

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rivers Bend Ranch in Stanley, Virginia, for a trail ride, and I must say, the experience was absolutely unforgettable. It was clear that the horses were well-cared for, which made the ride even more enjoyable. The ranch offers a variety of trails, and we took one that provided panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and river. The serene and peaceful environment was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In addition to the exceptional trail ride, the ranch facilities were clean and well-maintained. It's evident that the owners and staff put a lot of love and care into Rivers Bend Ranch. I highly recommend Rivers Bend Ranch to anyone looking for a memorable outdoor adventure. Francesca was our trail guide and she was WONDERFUL! The horses we had were all well-picked and suited to our riding experience levels. The horses were gentle and very well-mannered. Almost the entire ride is walking along-side the River which is stunning! I would HIGHLY recommend!
