The staff at The Riverview Resort was wonderful - friendly and happy to assist. The accommodations were clean and comfortable albeit on the 'rustic' side - a bit dated in terms of the décor and appliances. The pool and hot tub water were at perfect temperatures for the season (winter). This is not a top-shelf resort offering lux accommodations and services but it is an excellent value for the points used.
This is a nice, family friendly place. Rooms are clean and has indoor pool, Jacuzzi and tennis courts. Place is nice for a motel. I would not consider a resort though. Laundry room is downstairs and pay to use. Balcony does not have lounge chairs or a view of river you are right beside. Has fridge, microwave, coffee maker and oven. Beds are comfortable. It is in a good location close to good restaurants and national parks. Front door of room opens directly into parking lot.
Resort was nice enough to take in my family during heavy floods when roads were completely destroyed and we had no where to go. Rooms were great with a kitchen and had a indoor pool which gave our kids something to do so our trip wasn't completely ruined. Thank you to the staff.
Check in was so fast after a super long drive, everything was ready for us. The staff were welcoming. The area was super clean and tons of information at the check-in. I loved the little cozy library as my family were swimming, I went to the library and relaxed. The overall place is cozy, but it has such amazing views. Breathtaking views straight from your bedroom. This is a place you definitely revisit.
This resort is homey and comfortable - like a well-worn pair of jeans. Definitely not upscale or 4-star luxury, but I wouldn't expect that in the woods of Maine! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The unit is cozy (2 BR, only 1 BA) but served our needs just fine. The furniture was clean and sturdy, but nothing special. The walls of the unit were surprisingly thick -- we didn't hear neighbors beside us or above us! The pool and hot tub were very nice. Most of the machines in the game room were out of order, but we wouldn't have used them anyway. We would probably return if we were in the area. Our favorite spot for lunch and dinner was the Good Food Store -- their sandwiches ROCK!
Cozy and nice. When we first booked, we figured it was a resort. When you first pull up, it looks more like a motel. However, we got into our 2 bedroom suite and we were pleasantly surprised. Everything you need is there, and the view is spectacular from the deck. Appliances could use an upgrade, like a higher watt microwave or a more modern oven and fridge. But those appliances needed were there. The pool was really nice- it’s indoors and has a little hot tub that both had the perfect temp. The pool water was very clean!! The pool lining could be replaced but the water was so clean we didn’t care and there’s a deep end too- so if you have little ones bring floaties. We went in august and on Mondays and Tuesdays Bethel businesses are closed. There are a couple cute restaurants in town. And the gem museum!! If you have kids take them to the gem museum- the whole 2nd floor has space rocks and u get to hold a rock from mars and the moon and touch another that’s 7 billion years old. That was our highlight of the trip.||Lastly, if your lucky you get Irene at the front desk who was very very nice and sweet!!! She was so helpful and let us know what was good in town to go to. She gave us maps which were helpful too cause gps doesn’t work in some areas. ||Bethel is a quiet cute town and River view resort was surprisingly charming and cute little place to stay. ||Overall we enjoyed our stay, and had a nice time. Thank you!
This is not a resort. It’s an old fashion, 1950s -style motel. The grounds are pretty spartan and the view of the river is minimal. The building itself is dingy and in need of repair. The beds could use new mattresses and the water stains on the ceiling did not give it a good first impression. The staff was very friendly (that earn them their second star) but not really well informed (when asked about local hiking trails we were told to Google it; they had no idea, not even a map). We decided not to stay the second night that we had booked. That should tell you all you need to know.
We were in the area for a couple days and decided to give this place a try. We had a two bedroom that had a kitchen and large living room. The mattress was a bit soft but actually comfortable. The place was clean and everyone working there was friendly. I would not hesitate to return.
We stopped by Gemini Cafe & Bakery for breakfast our last day in the area and I only wish we had found it sooner! What an incredible place! We went right when they opened and there was already a line out the door, they seem to have everything streaml
This place is worth every good review and then some! We stopped in multiple times during our stay and there wasn't a single thing we didn't love- it was all SO good! Shakes, food, seasonal items... all amazing. We actually had to force ourselves to t
Worth it !! Itâs very straightforward not much else to it. The property that it is sitting on is well maintained and decorated. Not sure if it would be worth going to it just for that, but I stopped here on my way to Grafton Notch. Also, there are
The food here was amazing and the people were so nice! There was a wait and not much standing room but it wasn't an especially long wait and everyone was great and super helpful! I'd say pricing is moderate compared to similar places. The food was ab
My friends and I booked 2 nights at this inn to ski the River. The day of our stay, Josh reached out to give instructions on accessing the room. He was very polite and attentive. The room itself was very clean. I have allergies and if the room was no
Every time I go in to get my order, I always get big smiles and great conversations with owners. Food is always amazing. After the flood that recently happened, I have to say they got so much better than before the flood came to town. They are amazin
