Living in a rural area, it's a rare treat to find a sushi spot like River Sushi. This little gem stands out as the only sushi place in town, and it's quite good for its location. Their maki rolls are enjoyable, reminding me a bit of buffet rolls you'd find in the city. While the nigiri sushi options didn't particularly stand out, the specialty rolls, priced around $9, were a good value. It's great to have a place nearby that allows locals to enjoy sushi without traveling to the city. The atmosphere leans more towards a takeout vibe, but there is seating available. We opted for takeout, and it was a pleasant experience overall. If you're in the area and craving sushi, River Sushi is definitely worth a visit.
Do not pay to get sick. They did refund our money quick but I do not want you to have an experience like this!! The rice was old, no veggies in any on the rolls!! at all! the shrimp was cooked in very old grease and was processed stamped into shrimp shape and wrapped into a roll. Each roll was just this processed meat goop with rice and a strong pink sauce thick on top to cover that we got sick about an hour later. We dinned in. It was served on styrofoam plates. Possibly great people working there just needs many extreme changes! However I’ll never ever go back.
ReDiscovered one of our favorite places to eat after they changed location years ago! I happened to see a sign for Sushi and decided to check it out! I was truly overjoyed to find out it was this wonderful family owned restaurant. As we were not from Red Wing we were not aware where they had gone to. Great food and great smiles!
If your going here come for what the Name is telling you to. Sushi. Pass on the typical American Chinese dishes, you'll be doing yourself a disservice. I can't really tell the flavor difference between the General Tso and the sesame other than the sesame seeds. And the Orange chicken just has orange peels in it. The sushi is what shines here. Standard sides of Real wasabi none of that horse radish stuff, Pickeled ginger and soy sauce. Where you go down the sushi trail from here is all good for a small town. Today was the Spicy Combo. A flavorful sushi delight. Had to go back the next day and try some more. Tried the Daily Lover D.
Food is very good and reasonably priced. Service was quick. A few tables for eating. We got take out.
I’ve been coming here for years and I love the sushi! The staff and owners are amazing!
River Sushi is delicious! I tried it for the first time then found myself coming straight back the next week. I enjoyed the Denver Roll, honey chicken, and chicken lo mein. If you don't like sushi (like my fiancé) there's still plenty of options to fill you up for lunch or dinner. From what I've seen its just a husband, wife, and their child (I'm just guessing their relationships) working tirelessly in the back to fill orders. That's the kind of hard working family business that I'm more than happy to support. I highly recommend you give them a try!
The sushi for take out was dry and nothing like the pictures. I noticed that the sushi rolls served in the establishment were very different from what was being picked up to go. It was the first sushi place I tried since moving to Lake City. I am sorry to say.... I was not impressed.. The shrimps in one of the rolls was dried out and the tails were even more. Some dishes are probably better and worth trying, but my experience was ok...
Came here for a late night snack after a wedding at the St. James and it was amaaaaazing! 10/10 recommend. Owned by a very sweet couple that was so welcoming. The guy told us he smokes all of the meats in house too. Next time you're in Red Wing, you
Was slightly worried about coming here after reading reviews of hour long wait times. However we went Saturday morning for breakfast and it was amazing! Our kids got their pancakes served to them by the owner pretty much instantly and everything came
Excellent service received here today from server Samantha. Our order was out in less than 5 minutes and all was great! I tried the Crispy Chicken Melt sandwich and it was tasty and very good. Although it did get busier the longer we were there, Sama
The Upper Quarry, the first stop on the trail leading up to Memorial Park, is a beautiful and interesting place. The geologist in the family will find plenty of sandstone to examine and study, the hiker will love the trails, and the bird watcher will

A really nice place. Nice little coffee shop. Quaint. Carpeting gives a nice warm feeling in November. Fun book exchange for the locals. This would be a great place to work remotely.
When we arrived at about 3pm, we had the place to ourselves. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was really cool. We had drinks and nachos. Prices were good! They had my favorite MN THC beverages.
I had a very enjoyable experience. Very nice, clean, beautiful park and bandshell. There's free music Wed nights. Excellent acoustics. Would love to go back again.
