River Maiden - Cafe in Vancouver - 5301 E Mill Plain Blvd, USA

Loved the food & drinks, everything was delicious! I’m still craving the avocado toast I had. We received vouchers to come here from The Supper Club. Wish there were more seating indoors, outside was too cold, we wanted to eat here. We ended up bringing our food to eat in the car after initially asking for here, we said to-go for lack of seating. Ended up waiting for 30 minutes but it felt like everyone had come & gone after us, but maybe that was just because it was a busy Saturday morning and they did mobile orders? Not totally sure! It was my second time coming here and I don’t remember having the lack of seating or waiting for a long time before. Last time there wasn’t the kitchen taking up the seating space! Overall very delicious food and would go again! But next time we would order it online or be prepared for a longer wait, and possibly no seating.

Very Slow service for customers. cookies and Coffee are good. But my husband and I ordered Monster cookie for my youngest daughter. They gave to me wrong one. We didn’t order a Death Star.. 🙄anyway we try to switch or tell them something. But my youngest daughter already touched it. So we decided to let her eat it. And we only ordered only 1 cup of coffee, 3cookies(2falkor, 1monster) very simple not a difficulty ordering foods at all but The lady gave to us wrong cookie and so long time waited…. (More than 15min..Jeez) Kinda awkward…

This place has a ton of potential but they could do a better job using their space. Half of the place is used as storage and looks messy. They have tons of space in the middle but instead of putting more chairs and tables they use it to put a place where you have to order there in the middle of the room. The decoration is nice, the coffee is great and I loved they have options for people who can’t do dairy.

This was, hands down, the best gotdamn sandwich I've ever had. I had the Herbie, and it was PHENOMENAL. The balance of ingredients was perfect, on warm, fresh baked ciabatta. I cannot overstate how delicious this sandwich was. I will be coming back, based on the sandwich alone. The customer service was excellent, the restaurant was clean, friendly, warm, inviting. All in all, a wonderful experience. *Edited to add- I come in now nearly every Thursday and Friday when I am in town, and have tried several different sandwiches, cookies, and drinks, all which have been delicious.

I came here for the first time and was absolutely blown away! I recommend pulling up their online menu so you can see and choose all the tasty options for their egg sandwiches. Their onion jam is to die for! I love rosemary, and it was tastefully added in. The fresh scrambled eggs and crispy ciabatta bread was heavenly put together! Especially for the price!!! Their cold brew was also super smooth, all in all, this is my new favorite breakfast spot, I could not recommend it more!

River Maiden was a the best local place to get coffee. I’m glad to see they’re still around through COVID, disappointed nothing has improved over the last two years. Oat milk lattes consistently come half empty if you order two oat milk lattes at a time. My guess is they’re only making one pitcher of steamed oatmilk and doing their best to stretch it into two cups. I’ve been forgotten about in the waiting lanes for over 40 minutes, I miss the consistency but the coffee flavor is good. Food snacks are good. Worth a try but not my every weekend coffee shop anymore.

UPDATE 10/6: happened to be in the right place at the right time! River Maiden Just finished a photo shoot for their new Boba Fett drink. Delish my friends, just delish! UPDATE 11/10: celebrating veterans, my gramps and dad included, at my favorite coffee shop in Clark County, WA! UPDATE 7/11: first time giving the decaf and go as was delighted with the flavor! Love getting to share RM with others… Love the evolution of food offerings they continue to develop. As a vegan by health decree having options here was not only a god send but oh so tasty too! Thank RM for great place, staff, and refreshments 🥰 My favorite coffee shop! They now also offer breakfast and lunch. Of course it is delish and even more so since they offer vegan options too❤️❤️❤️

I do badly want to give River Maiden a 5 star review...their sandwiches and drinks are amazing. I really enjoy the Christmas Toast. I absolutely hate the fact that they always seem to be out of stock of almost everything, especially the main stays like sandos and drinks. It's not quite 12pm on a Saturday....😳
