I've been a fan of River City since moving to Fort Smith over a decade ago. I did a solo visit to their new location today for lunch - such a good decision. It was Friday lunch hour, but I was quickly seated by a front window.
Chrysta was wonderful with her recommendations, attention, and presence. I had the "Two for $12" option with a bowl of corn chowder and half of a River City club sandwich on toasted sourdough. It was the perfect "warm and fill me up" lunch for the cold January weather, came out hot and well seasoned.
Though I usually don't order dessert, Chrysta recommended the "big chocolate cake" slice - which she compared to the infamous chocolate cake from the movie Matilda. (She did not mislead me - this was the type of chocolate cake that your soul didn't know it needed!)
The new location is a great refresh - featuring local art, great cuisine, and a modern bistro feel. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fresh but fast-but-not-fast-food lunch. Service was great, price was right, and I’ll be back!
Great service and atmosphere! I went on a busy Sunday at noon, but was seated immediately. My server was Cara, and she was very personable and attentive, although very busy. She took the time for a bit of personal conversation at each table, but still managed to do everything in a timely manner. The gyro sandwich (beef) was a little chewy, but probably because I'm accustomed to lamb. The tzatziki was good, though, with goat cheese and cucumbers. Homemade chips were mostly a little less than crisp, but the dill sauce with them was excellent, so I ate them all! The wine was palatable, though no selection. Atmosphere was busy but nice, like a quieter country Cafe. Outdoor seating looked nice, and indoors there is art for sale! (Including some excellent pieces by Cara Delozier!) The brunch offerings looked great, but I won't often choose anything else when Mediterranean food is available. I'll be back!
There wasn't any wait for a table, that was nice. Our server was enthusiastic and friendly. The menu was just the right size and I found a few things I wanted to try. I ordered the French dip with au jus and my friend ordered the Italian sandwich. My aujus was very different... More like an herbed chicken broth flavor then a traditional beefy flavor. I didn't dislike it but it was a bit light in flavor for the sandwich. The fries were standard crinkle fries and we're hot and fresh. The bread could have been a bit more toasty, but I have no major complaints about the meal. The prices were a little steep for a lunch menu, beng around $13-14 an entree.
Small bistro with a fairly large exposed patio within a shopping center. We chose inside due to the heat and humidity. We were immediately and enthusiastically greeted upon entering the restaurant. I had a very good flavored and textured cranberry chicken salad sandwich on sourdough that cried out for a piece of lettuce and slightly overly thick house made chips with a nice creamy dill dip. My wife said her cheeseburger was one of the best she'd had in a while. She was also pleased with the fried mozzarella cheese as they were unusually shaped. Our server was punctual and friendly.
There were 2 of us that came here and we both had an enjoyable experience. The waitstaff was attentive and we did not have a long wait for a table.
I ordered the Roast Beef Au jus sandwich with latkes, it was delicious and filling. My partner ordered the beef gyro.
While we waited, we had a drink. Love Honey Bock for myself while my partner had a margarita. It was a good time.
Art work on the walls make a nice touch for decor. The art work you can purchase.
Food was good, although the meatloaf was a little dry in my opinion. The wait wasn't bad. Service was good with nice atmosphere.
By far this is the best meatloaf I have ever had! A nicely held together loaf with a smoky but light bbq topping served with green beans and mashers. Delightful. The gyro was flavorful and latkes tasted nice as well. Not too crowded and service was excellent. Highly recommend for sure!
Everything was fabulous. Not even a lil complaint. Food was excellent and service exceptional

This was my first time coming here and Iâm extremely satisfied! Best birria tacos in town, great customer service, and it only took them 5 minutes to have my food ready. I asked for light onions on my tacos and they put it on the side for me, which
My family tried Lewisâ Family Restaurant for the first time today. We werenât sure what to expect, with some of the reviews being negative, but for a Monday afternoon, we experienced a very clean restaurant with very friendly waitresses! We were
I ordered take out. I was impressed at the portion size of what I ordered. It tasted like who ever was cooking really cared about the taste and quality of the food. That's something that is pretty rare anymore. Kudo's to the Chef.
I thoroughly enjoy the wonderful soaps, body moisture creams, and chapstick. The scents are wonderful. Some of the chapstick is seasonal, which makes it fun.
