Rittenhouse Resort - Campground in Urbana - 4739 Woodville Pike, USA

My husband and I stayed at Rittenhouse Resort for three nights toward the end of May 2023. We reserved an electric/water available site for our little camper for two nights but added one more it was so nice. What a wonderful trip! This family-owned / family-run campground is a rare pleasure. The owners were onsite to check us in, guide us to a site, and then see us off upon leaving. Get this: we had not used and flushed the septic system in our "newish" camper yet, and did not know "how" to "dump" it, lol, but truly. **The owner HELPED US with the entire process!** If you know camping with a camper, you can guess the process of "dumping" is not the most glamorous duty to volunteer for -- yet he was there for us. So thankful for the help. A++ friendly folks, great family and family dog! GO THERE, you will be SO pleased. We WILL be back. <3

The wife and I have a fair amount of camping experience however we recently bought our first camper. After. Quick Google search we learned Rittenhouse was only 7.9 miles from our house. We called them up. Explaining the camper was just purchased used, and waiting to test everything out. They were more than happy to help. Set us up for 1 night 35 bucks for electric and water. I wanted to test the tanks the pumps. Furnace and so on. Great experience, everyone was helpful. We are currently sitting here now. 2 nights this time,and have future nights reserved. Nice small private campgrounds..so you know...anyways looks for my pics and try this place out. An honest unpaid review.

This place and people are absolutely AMAZING! Makes you feel right at home and apart of a very awesome family! Definitely will be back a lot this summer!

Great place for Family Fun! People at the front desk are very welcoming. Place is clean all the way around! I am not a water type of guy however this place the whole family plays.

I inquired about renting the event room. The event room had been reduced to what use to be a storage closet with no windows. Capacity 25 people. No longer is the lobby area available with the room. Owner had zero personality. Don't even bother her.

I would never stay at this campground. I was dropping my daughter and my two grandchildren off to where they were staying with her mom at their camper. My daughter and her children were already registered there as guests. As soon as I pulled in the driveway, the “Karen patrol” came racing over in a golf cart and stopped me. They spoke to me very rudely, and would not let me pass that point unless I registered and paid a fee, even if I was only going to be there momentarily to drop them at their campsite. They told my daughter she would have to walk from there or have someone come get here. Mind you, this is a woman with two small children and their car seats. She had to call her mom to drive up from the campsite to come get her. Meanwhile they sat in their cart asking my daughter a dozen questions, who is she, who are you staying with, where is their camper located, etc, etc. When my ex showed up at the front to get them, I asked her what’s with the people running this place. She said they would never be staying here again and started listing off a bunch of grievances she had during her stay. 👎

Love Rittenhouse Resort! We have camped here the past four Summers. The showers and bathroom is always super clean and the management goes above and beyond to make all feel welcome and are super helpful!

Rooms were cleaned well. Everyone was friendly. I would encourage anyone to rent one of the cabins.
