Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands - Wildlife refuge in Viera - 3658 Charlie Corbeil Way, USA

Hands down one of my favorite places to see gators, birds and wild Florida. The trails are well maintained and the scenery stunning. I come back whenever I’m in the area, but when I lived in the area was there every week.

This place was awesome! There was so much Wildlife here! We took a walk around the loop, and saw lots of wild birds, and even four alligators. The alligators were far enough away that we didn't feel threatened, and I would love to go back with a real camera and spend a day there.

Lots of sunshine snd blue sky. We were out on a hot and sun filled day (make sure to wear sunscreen). We absolutely loved all the wildlife you could spot as you walked around. If you can pack binoculars to help spot birds and alligators in the water. Lots of nature sounds! It was actually very peaceful and we look forward to walking the paths again.

A cool experience for our group of Minnesota people! Got to walk along a trail and see numerous gators and birds. We had 6 year old who was able to do the 1 mile loop quite well. A must try if you want to see alligators in their natural habitat.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful place. So this is a little taste of the Everglades. Very serene and peaceful place that’s super close. Get ready to see some alligators and some really cool birds. Bring your golf cart or drive your car. Highly recommend!!!

This is an incredible jewel! It is a great example of how to return something back to wildlife that's been taken away by development. When I was there, they were draining the storage ponds for repairs leaving the fish concentrated for easy pickings by the birds. WOW! What an incredible spectacle! So many species of birds, and some alligators are easily seen. This is a birding paradise! So if you are going to Merritt Island be sure to make a few hours in your day for this treasure before you leave the space coast.

Beautiful and tranquil place with great walking paths and raised observation areas. Plenty of species of birds. Also gators close up.

Dear tourists and new Florida residents! This was a rather cool day when my Son and I drove through the Grissom Wetlands. The alligators were out sunbathing due to the chill in the air. I saw people walking around the Wetlands with no caution to the alligators layout on the ponds banks. This place is a wonderful place to see from a CAR what most of us experience everyday life in our own yards There is no cost to visit. I would advise to drive around, take pictures of the enormous amout of wildlife than walk and take the risk of being eaten.
