We were delighted with our stay at Rising Sun B&B for Mother's Day 2021. Dr. Lee welcomed us warmly and spent time discussing some of the "must see" sights around Natchez. His dinner recommendation (Restaurant 1818 at the Monmouth Inn) did not disappoint! Breakfast is next door at the Guest House, which is a very short 100-yard walk on the same side of the quiet street - delicious and lots of menu options. Eat inside or in the courtyard by one of two fountains - beautiful!||||We loved the fact that this B&B has only 2 rooms, so the attention you get is superb. The house is very quiet and you'll feel like the only people there. The Regal/Regency room is quite large, with two closets, private adjoining bath, sitting area, and much more. Snacks and water/soda are waiting for you. Coffee maker and two large Rising Sun mugs are ready. The private balcony is small, but ideal for two people sipping morning coffee or relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Your private thermostat ensures comfort in your room. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and luxurious. All the little amenities you can think of are provided!!||||As you can tell, we were delighted!

What a lovely place for my husband and I to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Rising Sun B&B is perfectly appointed and & situated within walking distance of downtown, restaurants and historic homes. The Regency Room was a spacious suite and very quiet. A refrigerator was stocked with water and soft drinks which was much appreciated after our sightseeing excursions on very warm days. Dr. Turk was so friendly and welcoming. He was attentive and wanted us to have a pleasant stay. On a personal note, he fulfilled my husband's request to have a wonderful flower arrangement in our room upon our arrival. This was the first time for us to stay in a B&B. We chose wisely.

I did a road trip from NOLA on a vacation and stayed at the Rising Sun B&B for two nights. It was a beautiful home, and the room had a huge walkin closet and bathroom, as well as a large TV, fireplace, minifridge/coffee maker, etc. The house was very quiet (only two rooms available, I believe, so I had the house almost to myself!) and in a central location; I had a rental car, but many attractions are easily within walking distance. I especially appreciated the little touches you don't find in many hotels: the mini-fridge was stocked with some sodas, as well as small snacks and chocolates, and everything was refreshed according to when I'd be out and about. The bathroom had everything you could want, including makeup remover wipes and a diffuser for the blowdryer, both unusual in most places! I would happily stay here again the next time I'm in town; the house, room, and breakfast make it an excellent value for your money.

Took a 2 night vacation to Rising Sun and can't recommend it and a trip to Natchez enough! Lee, a former Doctor, was our host and made us feel welcome, offering advice, and anything else we needed to make the trip awesome. First off the B&B has a great location. We had bikes to explore the entire town, but its easily walked as well. the Location is right in the middle of the historic houses and on a beautiful street filled with trees, shrubery and lovely sounds. It also is walking distance to many dining areas, as well as the brewery which we loved. Beer and cider were great and the barbeque chicken pizza is the best i've had. At at the little easy and had a drink in the old time market that is converted to live music. All in all tons to do in Natchez besides all the historic sites, the river, casino and pretty countryside. The Rising Sun itself is so well kept up....bed comfortable, snacks, all u p to modern life scale...lee left us with nothing but praise...will go again, Ken and mary, Wisconsin

Excellent location on Pearl Street, with private parking in back. We walked to dinner, to breakfast at a nearby site and down to the river. Comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. Many interesting antiques. An adjacent library and 2nd floor porch were available to us, but we didn’t happen to use them. Stanton Hall is only a half block away. Dr Turk was a charming and welcoming host.

Restored completely 14 years ago and in immaculate condition today we could not have asked for a nicer accomodation. Dr. Turk, the owner, and Michelle, the manager, were extremely nice and helpful. Next door to the Stanton Mansion, easy walking distance to dining, shopping, and site seeing and it is really on the nicest street in Natchez. Just a great location. We loved walking the neighborhood and visiting with local residents who were, without exception, extremely nice and welcoming. We highly recommend the Carriage Ride tour and the William Johnson Museum. The Stanton Mansion next door is magnificent. It was a great weekend.

Beautiful and historic B & B centrally located downtown with easy street parking (I think there’s also parking in back too). Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Ivory Room was a good size and had a spacious bathroom. Nice amenities like a huge walk-in closet’s, a fridge, light snacks, and a few extra welcome gifts. The house has porches and other rooms to relax in if you want. Host was kind and helpful. Breakfast voucher was for restaurant 1/2 a block down the street. Restaurant server was very friendly and polite and there was a variety of food choices.

Rising Sun is in a perfect location for visiting downtown Natchez. Within easy walking distance to Stanton Hall, Rosalie, Natchez Under the Hill and other plantation homes. Our room was very clean and comfortable and Lee was a very accommodating and friendly host.||We were in Natchez from February 14 thru 17, during the big winter storm. Unfortunately, much of downtown was shut down, but Lee made us dinner the last two nights with him (at no charge) because no eating places were open. Not everyone would do that and we appreciated it.||Despite the weather ruining the trip, we had a great stay at Rising Sun and if we make it back through the area we would not hesitate to stay there again.
