What an incredible experience. First time in Nashville and first time at Rippy’s. Went twice this past week and both times had a great time. The servers both nights were fast, polite and kept tabs on us constantly. We never waited on a drink! The bartender was on point as well and the drinks were tasty and potent. The food was above average and arrived quickly. Props to server Josh for his very professional and prompt attention. The band for the two nights was fronted by Troy “the bucket boy” and his band was fantastic. Great voice and an outstanding performance both nights. Thanks for “Dream On” Troy!!! You can bet we will be there again the next time we return to Nashville. Thank you Rippy’s!!!
Table for 4 for lunch We were just starting to explore Downtown Nashville and everyone was getting pretty hungry. We were originally going to head to another restaurant, but Rippy’s caught our eye. It is located right at the beginning of all the action on Broadway. We walked in without a reservation. The restaurant had a very welcoming casual vibe. We strolled around the lower level and decided to go upstairs where they had a very open feel with some large windows. Even though it was freezing outside they had some heaters up there that made it comfortable. Keeping with the laid-back feel, we snagged our own seats – opting for a high table near the center, not too far from the bar and the band on stage. Our server came by pretty quickly to check on use. We needed some more time and she brought over some more menus for our party of 4. Wifey and I ordered a couple of local beers and the girls ordered some lemonade and sweet tea respectively. As the drinks landed, we nailed down our food choices. Three of us went for the Half Rack of Baby Back Ribs, each with our choice of two sides and a cornbread muffin. My oldest ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich meal. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed the live band's performance – talented and hilariously interactive with the audience. Rippy’s also had TVs everywhere so you could follow the football games. Our food hit the table pretty quickly, and we all absolutely loved it. My highlights were the baked beans, the Ribs (falling off the Bone) and the Onion rings and Fries I snatched off my daughters plates. My oldest said she would have liked some cheese or sauce on the pulled pork sandwich, but overall she enjoyed it. That was the only slightly negative comment, but in my book, Rippy's is a winner, and I definitely recommend it to anyone on Broadway.
Wow! When the menu says shareable, share it!! I ordered the pulled pork nachos and worth every penny! My friend ordered the 1/2 slab of ribs and raved about them. Generous portions, great taste, friendly service.
The atmosphere is unreal even on chilly nights as downtown Nashville lives up to its reputation as the country music capital of The World. Nothing beats the sights & sounds of broadway filled with live music & great food. The hospitality at Rippy’s is great & I see why people love hanging out here. The food sells itself with very generous portion sizes along with the best lip smacking half slab of ribs you’ll ever eat.
Typical bar/restaurant/honkytonk on the main drag. Ribs were good, live music was great (cover bands), service was good. A bit crowded, but we were able to find a seat for lunch on Saturday.

Lisa, our server, was excellent. Gold star for attentiveness, personality, and amazing service. People= amazing. Food and drink= were ok. Lisa made sure everything was amazing and perfect for my first time in Nashville. Give that girl a raise! The entire brand rides her fantastic work ethic and persononality.
This was one of my favorites. The service from our waiter was phenomenal. The staff was amazing. They had great bands.
Hey Jay at The Buckle Bar in Kingston ON Bill Roemer would be a great add to your lineup. Bill filled this chill true country bar all afternoon with a solid mix of traditional and today's country hits. This guy is the real deal and talented musician.
I recently visited a local dive bar that had an awesome live music scene. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, which made it a perfect spot to chill out with friends and enjoy some great tunes. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and attentive
We were just passing through this place & ended up staying until the end of the night! Great place and we caught an excellent band with a fun crowd. Didnât try any food here but the music was excellent!
Of the many choices on Broadway of music and food, we were drawn into Ole Red by hearing the music from the street. The food, service, and music was great. It was the weekend and day of a major football game, so we did have a wait to get a table....b
Band makes a big difference in the fun but the service is superb and atmosphere is authentic with the rustic old brick interior unlike some of the updated ones. I wish everyone keeps the old setup untouched.
