I grew up around Rippon Lodge, but it was a private residence then. I was thrilled to visit it now that it is a museum. We visited on December 1 st so the house and grounds were decorated with Christmas through the Ages. The displays were fascinating. You can easily decide how much time to spend as the house is average size, but the grounds are huge and there’s lots of space to explore.
An historic property with a great history. Lovely, relaxing grounds. Great guide. He obviously had a passion for the history of the home and we had a lovely private tour. Sorry I can't remember his name. A must see. Across from the entry is a fantastic park for kids, exercise enthusiasts and the Neabsco Boardwalk. A great day trip!!
This lovely house has a happy feel to it, really enjoyed its history and has beautiful grounds to walk around on. Our tour guide was very friendly and patient to let me and my take in all tye rooms of the house and answer any questions we had. This is definitely a hidden gem!
Beautiful grounds, not crowded at all in April. The house is closed and reopens in May (through October) but you can see the inside through the windows. You can feel the age and energy of this old property. I didn't see a ghost (I wish I did) but it's nice walking around and getting a glimpse of how life was like back then. Great destination for kids with parents or students.
This time we went to see the ww1 and wwii tents and tables set up with all the different things that the people would have at that time. It was awesome, they even had Jeeps from that time period. We love the garden too.
We attended during WWII days. Awesome reenactors and staff at the lodge. It's really a nice gem in Woodbridge.
Jessica did a lovely tour of the home. It's $5 and well worth it to learn local history. Grounds are free to walk, there are some trails, and they allow photography sessions.
A little gem in Eastern Prince William. The home dates to 1747, and I hope to explore it sometime, but as a place to take a walk with our dog it is simply wonderful. The property has lots of little paths, a teaching garden, cool breezes, flowers here and there, views, birds and sweet smells from the native and cultivated plantings. Don't miss the boardwalk down the hill and across the street.

First visit in about five years and it definitely won't be another five years between visits! Wonderful staff/owners, wonderful pizza, love the newer color scheme. Some day we swear we're gonna try the gyros and cheese steaks, but we shall see!
This park looks like a great picnic place. Lots of shelters and individual tables and grills are tucked under shady trees right by the Potomac. If you follow the Potomac Trail away from the visitor center you'll come to a really nice fishing pier wit
Loads of good restaurants and plenty of shopping (most is high-end). Parking is easy. Nice broad sidewalks to stroll down with your friends and family. Around the holidays, they even had an ice rink!
This location is fairly new. I stopped in today for lunch. It's very clean inside and the decor is bright red and black. Hinting that there's gonna be some kick to the food. Before going in, I did a little research on the spot. It was created by the
