Rico's Mexican Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Stockbridge - 386 E Atlanta Rd, USA

Part of my order was forgotten last time I ordered from here, so instead of driving all the way back to the restaurant (like I had to do the previous time I ordered from here) I called them and they told me they'd write my name down for a free appetizer on the next order. Today I placed an order and mentioned this, they looked up my name and asked if the fajita toppings were "all" that I was missing. Yes, we were missing all of the toppings and the tortillas. The lady on the phone asked what appetizer I would like and she suggested the cheese dip. I asked for the onion rings and she said no, can't do that, those are too expensive. Okay. I get there to pick up the order and mention again that we would rather have the onion rings than the cheese dip. She says sure, and begins to put in the order. The lady I spoke to on the phone heard this and came to the front to say they can't do that as the onion rings are 8 dollars. Usually with our 3 meal order they give us 2 salsas and two bags of chips. I guess this time we only get one bag of chips and 1 salsa because of the free cheese dip (which was meant to be compensation for the missing food on our last order). The meal in the picture is the 2 Chile Relleno combo meal. It was 12.95. You can see the refried beans ended up all over the rest of the food which is usually fine, but of course they were burnt and had a terrible burnt bean flavor to them. Edit: I've eaten nothing today and now I'm feeling sick and know to plan the rest of my night around the bathroom. I really didn't expect the food to be as bad as the service was - both have always been great in the past. This is a very unfortunate loss of a customer that's been eating here for over a decade.

First time visiting. The service is really good. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is decent. Yes some food is bland but overall a good first visit. I will definitely return to try out the bar menu.

I've driven by many times. This time I stopped. No wait, was seated within minutes. Drinks, chips and salsa, 1/2 pitcher strawberry mango margaritas, entres sampler and molcajete. The food was just okay. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce, i didn't like it but the Texas margaritas were 🔥. I'll visit again.

Well, I tried them again with a simple dish of nachos and they manage to screw that up also. They have never once given me what I ordered. The menu said it comes with cheese. I even ordered extra cheese and didn't get any cheese whatsoever on the nachos. I paid extra for mushrooms and have not found a single one. I cannot for the life of me Figure out how they have such high scores on the reviews. Their food is average at the very best and they're service is absolutely awful. They simply do not care. They had their last chance from me. I won't be back and do yourself a favor find somewhere else. If you are going to be this stupid about putting an order together, EVERY SINGLE TIME, you ought to at least have amazing food, and it's not.

Stopped on a Sunday afternoon. They have a napkin container outside to grab the door so that was cool. Clean inside. We were immediately seated with no wait. You scan a QR code for the menu so it’s online. Our waitress was outstanding! She was very fast and attentive but not overbearing. Chips were warm, cheese dip was good, salsa has a little kick to it. The food was very well seasoned and served hot. We had quesadillas, enchiladas, a beef taco and rice. Overall it was your basic Mexican restaurant. Nothing to jump up and down about but if you have the taste for this type of food it’s pretty good.

This was my second time eating here and it was very disappointing. The customer service is still very good but the quality of the food has gone down. Everything I ordered from the enchiladas to the tacos, to the rice and refried beans was bland and had no flavor whatsoever. I feel like I didn’t really eat anything. I am not sure if I will come back to give it another try. They also charged me $6.00 for stale guacamole!

I've been a patron of Rico's for about 20 years. I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the personalized service that we get here. The food is great, and the portions are plentiful. I've never had a negative experience here. Great for lunch or a family night out.

I ordered a fajita quesadilla. No joke it had zero meat.. I had a double check my receipt to make sure I ordered the correct thing.
