This was my first time at Ricks Kitchen. I have resisted going there du to previous experience with other restaurants in the foothills. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find out this isn't your typical Denny's experience. The coffee isn't Folgers and Ricks gravy ain't some dry mix you add water to. It was delicious with just a hint of sage that left me wanting more and perfect bits of sausage. The biscuit was fluffy and tasty as well. The bacon was cooked to perfection as was my eggs. I will go back to try other breakfast creations. Obviously everything was made from scratch and had Ricks touch. This place is worth the drive for sure.
The service and atmosphere were great. Most of the meal up to their outstanding standard that we have come to expect. The only issue were the mashed potatoes. I am pretty sure they came from a box and were not seasoned very much if at all. This was very disappointing as everything is very good to excellent.
I guess you can't win them all.
Excellent atmosphere and good experiences were had when we visited on a weekday morning. We were able to sit down immediately. The server was prompt and kind. The food was a solid American breakfast. Pictured is the kids meal pancakes.
This was my second time going to Rick’s Kitchen for breakfast and I was not disappointed. Staff is friendly and prompt , though I would advise to get there early because there might be a wait (the food is just that good) as you can see by the pictures the breakfast quality is superb, it is pure classic breakfast at its finest. I recommend 10/10. Rick himself comes out and asks how the service and food is, goes out of his way to refill your coffee he is an excellent host. I will definitely be coming back to Rick’s Kitchen.
Food was very good it was like an old diner. Nothing fancy but a great place to get a quick good tasting meal..
Forgot to take a photo of our food, but here's updated menu photos. We loved our breakfast! Biscuits and gravy and the 2+2+2. It was very busy inside when we arrived and we were happy to have the option of sitting outdoors, where the weather was perfect and it wasn't so loud. Very fast and friendly service and we loved our food. Perfectly crispy bacon! 🥓
Our waitress Mo was fantastic n made us feel at home!! Food was great!! Had the black eyed pea n albóndigas soup!! On point!! Very nice place!

Bit hard to find, but well worth the visit. Fantastic food and wine. Get whatever the owner recommends. He's the expert. Reminded me of my best experiences in Italy
