Rick's Drive In & Out - Hamburger restaurant in Whittier - 7254 Greenleaf Ave, USA

Come on you guys, this place hasn’t left the 1970’s nor should it. Any place with banana crème pie in a glass case and cold murder files playing on TV gets five stars before your food is even out. But also, it’s adorable and delicious.

This place has an old diner type restaurant feel. They got one TV. Parking lot is a decent size. I paid $5 and some change for a decent chocolate milkshake. No thrills. The shake tasted like chocolate. I think I like how they have the chocolate sauce on the bottom. They need bigger straws for their shakes, unless you like being a vacuum; trying to drink from a small straw. Restroom was clean, service was quick, and friendly.

Best burger in town or the state. It has been there for over 50 years. Best place to take christmas card picture. Best wishes for rick the owner of ricks his wife and his daughters.

Great place to grab a variety of food to eat! So many great options. Place was very clean and's staff was very helpful.

Love Rick’s! Their ground beef Taco’s are off the charts! Just tried their Club sandwich with fries last week and added Avocado which was so delicious! The Club was perfectly made! The bread was toasted, but not too much, which made it easy to bite into. I know that’s why it was so good. The chefs know the secret to a great club! Prices are affordable and worth every penny! Rick’s is the best!

This was supposed to be a special day. My mom came down from Arizona, and I canceled my doctor appointment to hang out with my mom and go have dinner at Rick's burgers, a place we remember eating at many years ago. At of all the places we could have picked from, we chose Rick's. I ordered $30 worth of food. A club sandwich combo, chili reino plate with a drink and a large onion rings, and i tipped at the window. We were happy. We parked and got off to eat outside Rick's burger where the chairs and tables were, but before eating, we wanted to wash our hands and use the restroom, so my mom went in first. As I watched her go in… I can see through the window that the worker who was cleaning looked like she had a problem with my mom wanting to use the restroom… so my mom was able to use it and I watched her put the key down on the counter as soon as my mom walked outside I walked in to get the key and the worker who was mopping saw me walking in to get the key, and she ran and grabbed the key and then ran to the back with the key where cooks are because she didn't want me to get the key… one of her coworkers saw what happened and lied to me and said someone is in the restroom. I explained that my mom was in there last, and I saw the worker run to the back with the key. The worker told me to knock on the restroom door. I told her I did, and....no one was in there. The worker then said it should be open (knowing that you need a key to get in) they upset me and my mom so much. We did nothing wrong for them to treat us the way they did. Hiding the key from mom and then lying about it. Please, to the owner of this business, please pull your camera, and you'll see that your employee took the key when she saw me going to it and running to the back with it. This is so wrong. My mom is disabled as she had a severe stroke and all we wanted was to have a good time and eat sine food… At of all places we picked to eat here where they miss treated me, so I walked out and told my mom let's go. We picked up our mess and left. I will never recommend this place as I felt there were strong judgmental workers. Please pull the camera and talk to your employees

It's been years since I've had Rick's. We were in the area and stopped in for a quick lunch. For 2024, the prices are reasonable. Pastrami sandwhich was stacked, Cheeseburger was classic and my choice of having breakfast for lunch did not dissappoint. The steak with my steak and eggs had that perfect grilled taste. It wasn't too crowded, staff was efficient, polite and attentive. Three of us ate for $36. It might become a regular Sunday after church stop.
