Richland Rum - Brunswick - Distillery in Brunswick - 1406 Newcastle St, USA

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Richland Rum. We went about a week ago for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We used the Groupon deal and the staff was very accomodating. We arrived early and were able to start the tour early as well. If anyone from Richland is reading this, ROSE WAS AMAZING! She gave a great explanation of the distilling process, was kind the entire experience and was gracious enough to take photos of the group. All in all, if you want some good quality rum from a locally owned and operated business, check out Richland.

What a great experience! If you care and are passionate about your rum, you must see Richland Rum! They are true crafters of their amazing rum. Expecting very sugary flavored rum is not what you get here. They walk you through their distilling process and explain the differences between theirs and other high producers. They maybe small, but ship to 18 countries and loads of states. Absolutely worth a visit, the tour and get your crafted bottle! You even get to see the barrel it comes from! Great experience!

Nice, short, but informative free tour. Paid extra for the tasting which was worth it. Very knowledgeable staff. Excellent, high quality product. Delicious rum,(and making Georgia proud!) Definitely worth a trip if you like rum! I was sad to see they don’t offer cocktails like I had seen others mention online but husband loved it & got a gift box to take home with us.

Buddy is the distiller and a delight to meet and enjoy a tasting with. He walks you nicely through the distilling process during your tasting without taking a lot of your time. Some of the best rum I have had in a very long time. Don’t sleep on the Pineapple Express either! Stop in for a tasting, you won’t regret it. About 5 minutes off 95. Thanks, Buddy!!!

My husband and I have stopped in numerous times as we go by Brunswick on the way home. We stopped in today and the gentleman (one of the owners) behind the counter was dour. Even then, we still purchased two bottles of rum (total cost $170) as we like their rum. If this was our first visit, we wouldn’t have purchased anything. He should stay in the boardroom and leave the selling to his staff. Anyway, we won’t return as he clearly doesn’t appreciate their clients.

I stop here whenever I am nearby. Best rum ever.

How did I not know that we have our own Rum Estate and Distillery here in Ga.😳 Richland Rum has its Main estate where they grow their own Sugar Cane to create their spirits. We took a nice tour and did a flight tasting. All the history, flavors, and the experience was superb. We did buy a few bottles to enjoy at home and definitely plan on coming back down for another visit. Definitely a must see while you are in Brunswick! 💜

This location of Richland Rum is in the Brunswick historic district in what was at one time a J.C. Penney location. The original timber and brick are visible throughout the establishment, which is a working small batch distillery. We took the Distillers Experience tour, which was fascinating and informative! We learned the difference between distilling molasses and distilling cane juice, and learned quite a bit about the process. These folks are a small operation which grows, harvests, extracts it's own sugar cane prior to distilling in toasted or charred new barrels. Every bottle is lovingly distilled and aged to a perfect flavor profile, which we experienced with a flight of samples at the end of the tour. I found a couple of new favorites, and that's saying a lot, since I am usually a whiskey sipper! Thank you, so much for a memorable experience!
