We totally enjoyed our time at Richards. The most wonderful stay!! Our room was beautiful, very spacious and clean. The amenities are great, there is a huge pool and gorgeous garden on the property. Would fully recommend Richards motel to friends and family
My stay at Richards motel courtyard was fantastic. Room was very clean and comfortable. Comfy beds and full kitchen are a plus. The pool is very clean and relaxing. Perfect stay for families to enjoy ! Highly recommended.
The front desk staff is incredibly rude and full of bad attitudes. It's like they hate their job or lives . There're many options with similar price after all south FL is full hotels motels and restaurants . I stayed there briefly during the housing shortage in Miami area in 2021
This place is cheap on the price and always available. Whenever I have to go there they always kind, the person at the front always say they will give me the nice room. Lol
pretty sketchy…stayed for one night and they required a $50 CASH ONLY deposit which I have never heard of before. At checkout they tried to avoid giving the deposit back as well, pretended they didn’t see me for like 5 minutes and only gave it back to me when I wouldn’t walk away. Theming outside was pretty cute but the room felt like a dirty hospital room, didn’t even have a bar of soap or anything to wash your hands with. Also got chased by a homeless man directly outside the motel while trying to walk to my room. I never leave negative reviews but, with the price you pay to stay here, feeling safe is the bare minimum. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
Prices decent, Pool and courtyard were nice. Room was very dated and our kitchen cabinet door fell off in my hand and our stove was both broken and full of roaches. Sheets were stained and the towels were way too small to use after a shower or swim. Caretakers lived in the room next to us and were very nosey and bossy. I felt like I was being watched and scrutinized the entire time I was there. Don’t recommend.
Let's start with the check-in and check-out arrangement. The location where we check-in is blocks away from this actual location. The room wasn't clean. The sheets and towels stained. Dirty sock underneath bed, floors weren't up to par either. I used my own bed sheet and pillowcase on the sofabed. The other bed had yellow stains on the corners of the mattress and sheets had cigarette burns. No utensils for the kitchen. You would have to buy some pots and pans to cook so having an entire kitchen available is pointless unless you are going to live there like some do. The rates on Google and other merchants are way over priced. They actually start at a rate of 40 dollars a night, or so they say. I am a handicap solo traveler that decided to book this motel based on the proximity of the location where I was visiting, it's pictures on expedia, and of course price. They have multiple ADA signs stating to call a number for assistance. From the front unused office to the pool. That sign is a lie. It was pouring raining and I have a walking device that held a duffle bag plus I had luggage. No way in my condition was I going to be able to walk those blocks in the rain. I wasn't going to make it. So I called that number on the sign. First lady I spoke to was not sure what to do when I explain that I wasn't going to make it to the office because of my condition and the rain. This lady I believe if I remember correctly is named Linda and said she runs all 5 properties for Richard. She was unprofessional, talking down on me as if i were a child or something. Hung up on me after hollering shes coming to my room,, bangs on the door, I open and she behind to go off on a rant about how she manages this and that, and that it doesn't matter if I'm handicap that's basically not her problem, tells me she called Richard and he said she's crazy for even bringing me the deposit. Walks off screaming lord Jesus. Meanwhile her behavior wasn't one of a Christian so idk what her point was. So I said, yeah fix it Jesus. I think they forgot that without us paying customers there's no managing any properties, and there would be no richards motel. I wouldn't come to any of richards motels even if they paid me. Go elsewhere please. This was the worst customer service experience I ever had. Totally misrepresented Florida.
I’ve been renting here for 2 months and the place is just amazing. Farrah is just as wonderful as can be and very friendly and she works with you. I would advise anyone who would like a nice getaway to stay at Richards, it will always be worth it and affordable.
I had just recently stayed at the Manta Ray for a total of 12 days at the beginning of December 2023 and was so happy I made the right choice to rest my head every night.

When ever I'm in the Hollywood area I schedule a hot yoga class with Liz. Liz is loving and a great yogi and teacher. Liz has built a great yoga community making the classes inviting. The studio is clean, and nice, the heated ceiling panels make it
