Very quiet and peaceful little place off the road. The rooms were a little older but quite clean and very comfortable, much larger than modern rooms. You check in at the Beekman Arms Inn in town ( on the same road), they manage three places and could not have been nicer or more helpful with anything. Breakfast was nice with many good choices (not scrambled eggs and sausage but wonderful huge bagels and cinnamon pound cake, fresh fruits, oatmeal with toppings, etc). The front desk person will give you a large bag of ice to go since the room refrigerator does not have a freezer. The location is very good for visiting the area, out of the main part of the downtown but within a few miles of everything. My husband and I would love to stay there again in the future, hopefully if our niece goes to Bard.

I never write reviews for anything, but I feel called here. The Rhinebeck Village Inn is incredible for three entwined reason: it's in Rhinebeck, it costs significantly less than a three-star chain (much less the Beekman Arms) and it's a clean, decent place, with beds that aren't far afield from the above mentioned three-star chain. This place is classic Americana but not self-conscious about it. It's exactly the kind of place that people stayed before there were three-star chains. Rhinebeck is fantastic. OK, I'm mostly basing that judgment on Bread Alone and a very decent beer at the Amsterdam. The other places may look good and have bad food, but they do look good. Also, once you step outside downtown, Rhinebeck is quiet and leafy. The loudest thing you hear at this motel is the crickets; they are very, very loud. You can walk downtown in fifteen minutes on a sidewalk for all but one short stretch; if the owners are reading, build a trail or something for the last stretch, because it does feel dangerous at night. That said, parking is ample and easy in Rhinebeck at all hours of the day. Totally worth it, especially in contrast with the chains along Ulster Avenue in Kingston--that area is hectic and depressing, and I say that as someone who grew up in the Hudson Valley Mall.

This was an outright, no-tell motel. We arrived to find the lobby was closed and had to check-in at their other property in town. Not only was the lobby closed when we arrived, but it never appeared open the entire time we were there. This reservation was made at the suggestion of Beekman Arms, the same management company of both properties. The Rhinebeck Village Inn is a neglected step-child. Photos show and tell much of our story. The blue igloo cooler was their attempt at an ice machine. Tell me this isn’t a health code violation to have a crusty cooler just feet from the roadway where anyone can stick their hands, feet or glass into. Simply disgusting. The room was far too decrepit to be considered modest. All shabby and no chic. Breakfast included but not at either of the two properties. There’s a third location for that. Don’t waste your time getting there for the mediocre meal with styrofoam and plastic. For the bougie little town that Rhinebeck is, this inn is nothing but a big black eye. As for the Beekman, it is pretty dumpy too. See photos. We don’t mind lodging without frills, however an expectation of cleanliness, safety and hospitality shouldn’t be compromised. We would never, ever stay here again.

I’m really not one to complain about hotel or motel rooms but this place is ridiculous! The first night I stayed,I had my 4 grandchildren and my son and daughter-in-law there and we were late checking in,the room they gave us had a list of problems number 1 and foremost was the beds were made with mouse or rat poop on bed UNDER the sheets!! 2nd,the toilet was broken and ran over,we called the front desk due to we all slept in one bed that was clean the best we could see,and when we called the next morning they accommodated us by giving us a 20%discount,2nd night was fine due to we cleaned the room ourselves and got the toilet repaired. 3rd night the toilet was broken again in the new room they moved us too and we called again and their so called maintenance persons came and because the bolts to the toilet tank were so rusted they said they couldn’t repair it and we’re gonna leave us with no toilet at all with 4 small kids!! I’ve stayed in a lot of motels due to I am a general contractor and travel all over the country and have stayed at such a nasty place with suck rude employees! STAY AWAY!

Typical low cost motel. Everything was there, clean, EXCEPT the carpet floor, which needs a thorough cleaning. It was full of dog hairs! So no walking bare foot or even with socks, since the dog hairs were all over the socks!|In the Hudson Valley people seem to be oblivious of the Climate Change. The water was gushing out of the shower like the Niagara, which was surprising for somebody who come from a place where you get a trickle in the shower and the sink! What a waste of water!!|All in all, the $129 price I had to pay as opposed to $89 which was advertised was way too much!

We were just passing through Rhinebeck, and didn’t want to spend a fortune on a room. We were a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews, but our room was large, clean, and did not smell bad:)|You have to check in at their sister property in town a short distance away, and we had a drink and snacks in the cute Tavern there. The breakfast is at a different sister property in town, and was basic continental.

The room was dated and had a musty smell, hence the 4 stars for the room. Everything was otherwise wonderful. The room was spotless, including the towels, linens, microwave, and fridge. It all felt very safe. The fact that it was right next to the Matchbox diner was a delight, and it was a super short drive to the heart of Rhinebeck. Given costs of the area, it was a steal. Staff was always polite and courteous. We used to stay down by New Paltz to reduce the cost of stay in the area, but I think this is our new favorite place to stay going forward!

Before we arrived we were advised to check in at The Beekman Arms which was easy to find and quickly done.||Our room was lovely and warm, the bathroom, while a little outdated, was spotlessly clean with lovely white towels and plenty of complimentary toiletries. The shower was warm and powerful enough to enjoy after a day of walking. Our queen sized bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of puffy pillows, there was a fridge and a coffee machine (couldn’t work out how to use it though) and spare blankets in case it was cold.||The breakfast, served at The Beekman Arms, included a very tasty granola which paired well with the yoghurt and banana left on the sideboard. Unfortunately there was no coffee - surely a basic requirement for breakfast? I was most disappointed to have to eat out of a paper bowl with plastic cutlery and drink my orange juice out of a plastic cup. The tables had linen table cloths and napkins so I think simply upgrading to proper crockery, glasses and cutlery will make a huge improvement in the overall breakfast experience. Additionally perhaps a server should be on duty to ensure coffee, tea etc are always available.||I would definitely return to The Rhinebeck Village Inn and hope that some simple improvements are made to the breakfast arrangement.

Best pizza in town! So good that I had to order the special clam pizza plus my go to margherita. The clam pizza was perfectly cooked and tasted great, while the margherita was wonderful as per usual.

Dropped in for an early dinner while passing through Rheinbeck. The dining area is on the small side hour, but due to the hour we found a place to sit after placing our order with the cordial counter person. I had two standard dogs and regular fries.

I ordered by slice, the staff warmed it up for me. The bottom was crispy and the dough is chewy. I guess it would taste so good if I ordered the whole pizza freshly made. Definitely I will go back again.
