Went with a relative and we got soup/salad bar, Friday fish night, and steak. Soup and salad were good, steak tasted very good! The fish fry however was not. The batter tasted off and the waitress informed us they were frozen before being deep fried.
My partner and I typically share a meal because I do not eat a lot. When I mentioned this to the waitress she said if we are sharing I need to get the salad bar. I did not realize I would be charged almost $13 to split a meal! We ordered the prime rib with shrimp. We received three pieces of under cooked shrimp and the prime rib was ridiculously small. We will not be coming back.
I love the fact that food is always hot and fresh. They have Easter brunch and Thanksgiving specials. The atmosphere is peaceful and romantic but not too overwhelming. Friendly servers and the bar creates wonderful drinks. I also love the fact that this restaurant has purse bingo, bands and paint nights. They do need to update and use social media for their restaurant more. Would love for people to enjoy the same experience as I have.
My wife & I had dinner at Rex's on a Wednesday night. The restaurant has a great salad bar that was included with our Wednesday "specials." My wife chose the soup and Swiss steak, and I ordered the half chicken with rice medley. Both dinner specials were excellent! We were part of a large group (15). The host seated without a long wait. Our waitress displayed courtesy & professionalism! A great dinner at Rex's!
Prime rib was very good and served 6 days a week. Salad bar and soup were both good. Guinness beer was on tap was great. Would definitely go back
The food was just fine. Nothing wrong with it. But it also didn’t impress me. Especially for the price. We likely won’t be back. Staff was friendly. Salad bar was decent.
The food was just ok. My husband’s tenderloin had a funky flavor and smell to it and was dry and overcooked but not hot. The broiled shrimp was hot and good but our hash browns and my prime rib were warm at best. Salad bar was very good.
We wanted to go somewhere special to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. We selected Rex"s. and were not disappointed. The food & service was excellent. They have an incredible salad bar too. The chicken & prime rib is excellent. They have a supper club feel to it. I would recommend this establishment to eat and plenty of room to accommodate large group. I would suggest making reservations with a group or have a specific time you want to eat Only thing we missed, was the live music.

Coming in from out of town and stopped here for the first time for a coffee and quick bite to eat. Super cute and everyone so so friendly! Will definitely be stopping again!
We loved our stay with The Mill Waunakee! We reserved the two-queen-beds room, which was spacious yet cozy. The beds were comfortable (firm at first but then conforming), guest noise was reasonable (we only heard other humans when they were in the ha
Staff so friendly, food was.... Wow! The Pork Smash and Reuben sandwiches were fannnnnntastic! Much meat and super flavors. Super Cole Slaw is large-cut, fairly dry, non-sweet, non-wet. Try the Belgian Blonde ale! Atmosphere, staff and food well wort
My family and I went here for the first time on Father's day around 11am. The service was a little pokey at first given how busy they were, but after we ordered we were very pleased with the service and the presentation of the food. Everything was ex
