We had an amazing family vacation at Resthaven! The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The common kitchen area is great for coffee, or heating up a late night snack! The fire pit was great for drinking wine and spending time with friends around the fire. Resthaven is also centrally located to the most action packed part of Lake Tahoe. Don't forget to try out the slice shack for great pizza around the corner. The manager Chris made the trip so much fun his warmth and hospitality shined through, he made us feel like family and took care of everything we needed during our stay including restaurant recommendations and fun family activities! Thank you manager Chris !!
I was looking for a nice “staycation” for myself and 4 teenagers, and Resthaven was perfect for our needs. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, and it had so much space for us! The kids had their own room and bathroom, and I had my own. The kids loved the free snacks in the kitchen when we arrived. Everything was clean and organized. The location is close to the beach (we stayed in the summer) and lots of shops and restaurants, but it is tucked away enough that it is very safe and quiet. If visiting In the winter, it is close to the Heavenly gondola. The kids loved they could easily walk or bike places. We loved hanging out around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and making s’mores at night. Check-in and check-out was super easy. The staff was so kind, thoughtful, and communicative. We will definitely stay here again!
from the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed. While waiting to check in, Christopher greeted us and was very attentive to details. He made us feel at home with his friendly and respectful demeanor. He had a great attitude and genuinely cared for our experience and trip. That kind of exceptional service is rare today.
This is our second time staying here, first was with 7 Seas, and the new owners have done a great job improving the landscape. Rooms are simple and clean with comfortable beds, small comunnal kitchen and walking proximity to everything in Heavenly area. If you don’t want to stay in the casino’s this is an affordable option that provides everything needed for So Tahoe! Met one of the owners who was doing yard work and super cool human! TY
Pros: I like that it is walking distance from the main shopping areas. It was clean overall, the bed was comfortable enough, and for most of our stay it was relatively quiet. There was a small basket of snacks when we arrived. Cons: As soon as we got neighbors, we realized how paper thin the walls are. I found myself upset with them only to realize they were having a normal conversation at a normal volume but I could make out almost every word. The shower head is too high (Im 5'6") and I found myself practically pressed against the shower wall to use it hands free. There is a hotel very nearby with loud karaoke every night until about 11pm. The check in was not seemless. We ended up having to call them directly and they had to email our code because we booked 3rd party. The worst thing to me by far though was that we figured out our lock code was our checkout date. Coincidence? Maybe but that's one hell of a coincidence. Seems too easy to guess and it did not feel safe.
Awesome hotel! Extremely clean and the beds were amazing. Check in was fast and easy. And the 2 bedroom suite we stayed in was much bigger than expected. Highly recommend. And the 2nd bedroom had arcade machines for the guest so the kids were happy and distracted while my wife and i were able to have a fun time in the master bedroom. 🤩. Highly recommend! You will love it!
The location is perfect; a five minute walk or less to the casinos, craft coffee/cocktail bars, brewpubs, and Base Camp Pizza. The price is very reasonable for a quiet spot, nestled in pine trees, with onsite parking and a fire pit. A bit rocky with check-in, but to no fault of the staff. Other than room service, you likely won’t encounter staff, which is nice for independent travelers who like to move in and out at their convenience. Overall, a very nice experience.
If you set your expectations right, you'll have a great stay. Shout out to Christopher for being friendly and helpful. He noticed we had an elderly person with us that had a walker and proactively offered to switch us to an ADA room since I wasn't able to book one online. The rooms are decent, especially when you're paying much less than other places in Tahoe. It's an upfitted motor lodge but more in a "house flippers" kind of way. The door handles are wobbly, the bathroom door gets stuck, the flooring is a mix of vinyl and original old tile. It's half updated and half old, but clean. They offer a nice 24hr kitchen that has sodas and small snacks that are self serve which is a nice touch. A nice beach is a short walk away with beautiful views. The check in and check out is all digital and self serve so make sure you check your emails!

The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great. (Down one star for our ground fl
Great experience. The hotel is well located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, and beaches/trails. The rooms were well remodeled and quiet. Check in was very modernized and easy, and the staff reached out the night before (and the day of) to m
We stayed in the Rubicon Room and it was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was wonderful and we absolutely loved the lodge, the roaring fireplace, the big beams, and the gorgeous courtyard. Well worth it!
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners. There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job! It
