My experience at this Guatemalan restaurant was mixed. The popusas fell short, seemed unevenly mixed, resembling more of a filled gordita with cheese and chicharrón. while more cheesy lacked the expected authenticity, especially with the disappointing curtido, that was just shredded cabbage with no flavor. The positive notes was the carne asada and homemade tortillas contrast with the limited salsa options, as only bottled hot sauces were available. The atmosphere and service were acceptable, but improvements in the authenticity and execution of certain signature dishes would enhance the overall dining experience.

The stars prove this is a restaurant worthy to visit. The house-made salsa and chips set the stage for a delightful dining experience. So I recommend to dine in if you have time. The fish tacos I ordered was the best I've had in my half-century of life. Opt for corn tortillas; they elevate the experience. Looking forward to trying more dishes on my next visit. Gracias for introducing me to authentic Guatemalan flavors. I'll be back soon for another culinary adventure!

The food is plentiful and freshly prepared. I had Pollo Frito (fried chicken). It was so good, spiced perfectly, crispy, and hot from the kitchen. My husband had Fajitas Mixta which had beef, chicken and shrimp. He said it was excellent. All the tortillas are made from scratch. The waiter/owner of the restaurant was super nice and friendly. Overall a great dinner and evening. We’ll be back 😊👍

I can’t speak for atmosphere because I got my food to go. However, I will say this…the food is amazing. However the way they package to go food is not the best. Again, the way they packaged the food itself, perfect. But the sauce and slaw that came with it were in ziploc bags….at least put the sauce in a to go sauce cup or something. I only say this because what if they didn’t know there was a whole in the bag, the sauce would leak everywhere. Otherwise, amazing food. 9/10

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night and the experience was delightful. The atmosphere is definitely a cozy hole-in-the-wall small business and the server was very welcoming. The tortas de pollo con papas was not only tasty but also surprisingly not as greasy as I had anticipated. It came with a spicy sauce that was served in a separate small cup. Their salsa was both flavorful and spicy that can also double as a dip for the fries. One thing that truly stood out for me was my introduction to horchata. This was my first time trying the drink and now I can confidently say that I'll be ordering it again when I return. It's important to note that the different taste to other "Latin/Spanish community restaurants" is expected since Guatemalan cuisine and every other Central American country have their own identity. This restaurant embraces its cultural heritage, and I appreciate the authenticity it brings to the table.

A friend of mine recommended I come here and try the beef soup and It was so yummy, savory and flavorful👌 😋 It's like when your grandma says baby you want something to eat and all she got in her fridge is a potato and a onion and then she cooks you this old world rustic home made soup that makes you feel loved. That's how it tasted!

First time dining at this restaurant after seeing all the other fantastic reviews. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was excellent! We had the mixed fajitas that came with large pieces of shrimp, yummy! Never had pupusas and garnachas before, but they were really good! I highly recommend the ricotta mozzarella pupusa. PTC support your local businesses!

Definitely one of my favorite spots , their food is amazing . Agua de Sandia is delicious. Prices are fair , family own restaurants. Still exploring other dishes . Definitely will be back to try more . Their seating is pretty fair , high tops (choices of 10 for parties) and low tops . The server super friendly and nice . Been here twice ! P.s breakfast menu is all day!!!
