REST INN - Motel in Tyler - 3209 W Gentry Pkwy, USA

Rooms reek of cigarette smoke even with "No Smoking" signs posted on every door, there's mold on some of the furniture and the hardware floors don't look like they've ever been cleaned. Hot water is hit or miss so expect to have to shower in the middle of the night. Don't expect to sleep in either because the owner couple argue loudly every morning as the make their rounds. There was some kind of small bug that showed up in the sink everyday, fortunately they couldn't climb out so I was able to wash them down the drain. I also killed a spider and a few roaches. If you like cleanliness this isn't the place for you. I will never pay up front before looking at another hotel room and always check reviews. There are way too many here to choose from.

The rooms are filthy, and reek terribly of cigarette smoke (even though there are "No Smoking" signs), trash all over the parking lot, guests are allowed to party all hours, and the owner couple can be heard loudly arguing every morning as the make their rounds. Maybe worst of all, you may or may not have any hot water when you go to shower. Way too many hotels in this immediate area to choose from to stay at this dump.

Very accommodating place for traveler. Top of the line motel in it's day. All units have a car port conducive for minor vehicle maintenance. HOT water in shower which is in newly remodeled bathroom. Low price and wonderful staff.

I found the beds comfy with nice new bedding! Clean! Great staff. Good location near Caldwell Zoo. Lots of dining options nearby. Rooms were very cool even in blistering heat. Watch for deer in back of and beside hotel ❤

Had hard time getting a room being ID was expired they want up to date n physical ID not buts. They do good rates weekly. Hot water wrks everything works but the Wi-Fi. U have no service if ure lucky wen nobody is there in the morning I'll be able to get connected n it will be slow but once everyone starts coming back for the evening forget about it. Same with the roaches during the morning I won't see any but once ppl start coming I'll see like 3 for the night so it's not that bad ive seen worse. Sheets were all burned. When I entered there was a ball of hair on the floor n tobacco from a cigar in the trash. Walls n furniture all scratched n no cover on outlets. Oh and this weird window in the restroom..... To low if u ask me with no curtain. It has a good spacious open closet to hang clothes. No phones....

There was roaches in my shower my microwave didn't work bathroom look like a jail sell on lil trash can the smoke alarm don't work wifi suck stains on pillows and bed fridge dirty rusty microwave 10 inch tv

Rooms are a lot cleaner than they were a year ago and maintenance was quick to respond for cable TV issue and the security lights and cameras give peace of mind at night

Roaches!!!! We had the unfortunate experience of staying in this motel. We were on storm response for hurricane Lora and these were the only rooms available or we would have stayed somewhere else. The rooms have been used for drug use and the smell was over powering when we walked in. The 2nd floor felt like it had been wet and was going to fall through. No phone or remote in the room. When I moved the pillows roaches ran out of the bed. At this point I slept in my truck which was a good idea. I was able to keep the crack heads from stealing anything out of our trucks. Oh yeah did I say ROACHES yet?!?!?!!! This place should be condemned!
