I just want to say this place is so underrated! What a hidden gem! The cutest little bungalow style beach motel I've ever stayed at. It's just a 15 minute walk to the pier, and a 5 minute walk to Starbucks. Kim and her husband run the place and they are so warm and welcoming. You feel like you're staying with family! I can't say enough about this place. If you're on the fence about staying here, book a room you won't regret it!
Nice, ckean, and all we needed. It had a nice update bathroom with a walk-on shower. Keep in mind it is not a luxury hotel. It had toiletries, hair dryer, refriferator and a closet. The TV was oddly placed but that was fine. It also appeared to have a Parkside area out back that was nice.very easy to wash to the beach and shopping, Starbucks was 2 blocks away. I would recommend.
A fine motel. Manager very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable, albeit a bit on the small side. Walkable (15-20 mins) to Santa Monica pier area so convenient in that respect. A little expensive - but good value relative to other much more expensive options in the area.
Great place, near from Santa Monica Pier and Downtown. Not a 5⭐️ hotel, but if you’re looking for something affordable and save money, and still sleep comfortably and safe, this is your place.
The motel is tricky to find as it is located in an alleyway behind a fast food drive-thru place so looks a bit dodgy! However, check in was fast and efficient and the staff were extremely helpful. Two of us shared a room which had a queen size bed but not particularly anti roll-together. The pillows were rather lumpy so sleep was not particularly restful but ok. The room was small and basic but clean and included a fridge, tv, hairdryer and some basic toiletries. a kettle or coffee machine is available upon request. The bathroom was tiny and very dated but it did have a shower, sink and toilet so had the basics covered. Its decor was from the 1970s and definitely in need of updating. There was free parking outside the room and the location is convenient for exploring Santa Monica. For the price, we would have expected more room and a little more luxury or at least something relatively upto date. But on the days before 4th July, maybe they can charge more than would be expected. The main positive is how nice and helpful the staff and owner were. It served its purpose as we had to be in Santa Monica then, and this was available for the dates we needed.
Don't be fooled by the picture ( Booking.com is where I seen). First and foremost the office staff ( I believe there the owners) are phenomenal, they went above and beyond. Very nice people. We came in late 9-10 pm, came from Oregon 1,036 miles, we had made a pit stop in San Fran to see Alcatraz and some lovely person bash my car window in, sole my purse ect. I had taped cardboard over my window to get us through the rest of the drive back home. As my bf and I were unloading, the owners came to us and offered to move there personal vehicle for us to park closer to our room and park there's in front of us to protect my car better. |Second, the locations was nice, stores and food close by and minutes from the pier.|It has the looks and feel of more of an apartment then a motel. |The rooms may not be up to todays modern updates but, that is what I loved, the bed was comfortable, pillows were amazing, bathroom was spacious, there was a closet for our belonging, a desk, and a refrigerator, heating and cooling worked great, the shower had pressure and hot water. |Upon leaving the next the the owners wished us safe travels and also recommended a restaurant close by that was great as well. |100 % this will be the motel we stay at in our upcoming trips to Santa Monica.||Thank you so much for taking such good care of us, and for going above and beyond.|Sincerly, |Ashley from Oregon
The owners are great! The room was exactly what we needed. Cute and cozy. Looking forward to staying here again.
Comfortable Motel within easy access to the centre of Santa Monica by foot or the No 3 bus. Which also goes to the airport. Décor slightly dated but comfortable beds, room clean and compact bathroom. Exactly what I would expect from a budget motel. Very helpful and pleasant owner. Good Value for money.
I've stayed here every Christmas for quite a few years (over a decade) and it is something I look forward to, still, to this day, every year. It is family owned and affordable lodging in an amazing location. It is a few minutes walk to the beach and
Iâve been working with the DMN8 staff since the pandemic and to say these people are wonderful is an understatement. Now that the gym is open skies the limit!
In A Nutshell: -Beach Yoga SoCal provides daily yoga classes in the morning & evenings. -I really enjoyed doing yoga on the beach during the sunset. -The cool ocean breeze, the smells of the sea, the sound of the waves & the soft sand give another d
