Residence Inn Spartanburg - Hotel in Spartanburg - 9011 Fairforest Rd, USA

Positive: The service and welcoming attitude provided by Hotel employee was very much appreciated. We also appreciated the excellent selection of breakfast options that gave us healthy and tasty choices. Negative: The carpet in room 112 had a faint smell of animal urine.

The room smelled like dog urine and cigarettes. Also, there was a yellow stain on the side of box spring and bathroom needs to be cleaned thoroughly. I was disappointed in the quality of the room after paying $145 and seeing this property is outdated. The TV only had a few channels in a regular tv, most places had smart tv’s. The bed was too firm but i was able to get a little sleep. I called front desk to ask for later checkout than the standard 11am. The front desk granted me until 1230 however around 8am i was woken up to housekeeping trying to get into my room. Thankfully i had the deadbolt on. Why were they coming that early and standard check out was 11am. This was unacceptable.

This hotel was absolutely filthy! I arrived after a 10 hours drive only to have to go out to the closest Dollar General for bleach and cleaning supplies. The stair rail was so disgusting that it was obviously not cleaned between multiple guests. The upstairs toilet did not work and there was a plunger in the bathroom so the hotel knew of the issue yet still offered the room. The stove had food left by the previous guests…not even minimum cleaning efforts were visible in the suite. Only plus were the staff who were apologetic for the issues but the hotel was overbooked so changing to another suite wasn’t possible.

Good space. My toddler locked us out of the bathroom and maintenance came right away to remedy that, which was great. Room was clean enough - there was some trash under the pullout couch and there were a few drops of blood on the bottom edge of the comforter.

This is a great place to stay whether you're traveling or in the area for business. The staff is amazing, over the last several years I've been visiting I've had nothing but support. The rooms are always clean and tidy, and when I request room service over an extended stay my room is spotless. I recommend this place for any overnighter or an extended stay!

Although, my reservation was made thru a third party who mixed up my dates. Demerits worked feverishly to help resolve my issue. She went above and beyond what I have normally deal with. I applause her effort and wish there were more like her.

Checked in around 8pm and found that our room had no coffeemaker. There were coffee supplies but no coffeemaker. I called the front desk and she told me some rooms have them, some don't. Also there was no handsoap at either sink. She told me she could provide some if I came to the front desk. Room 423, 26-27 April.

It's decent. My room was good for me. Just needed a place to rest during travel. It's kind of outdated. Definitely needs a refurb. It was very spacious, and the property seemed nice, though I didn't really explore in the rainstorm. There was a bit of road, train, and airplane noise during the night in this location. Also, the walls and floors are thin, and you can hear your neighbors walking. It's nice for a family who needs a quick overnight, in my opinion.
